I had the scallops and my wife had tile fish. Both were great. About $30 per entree. Started with the tuna tartar app and warm bread ($3). Ordered a bottle of Oregon Pinot at a price of $60. I didn't know at the time they allowed corkage and it is only $10. What a bargain! A couple of small service... More

I had a great experience in Cypress, they serve world class food, every bite is exquisite, fresh, surprising, in a nice ambience with a great service. We shared several plates and they all made a great experience. I remember especially the seasonal salad, the chicken livers (mmmmm!!) and the oysters.

We appreciated the fact that the restaurant was on Open Table and allowed reservations. This streamlines the process from the start. The restaurant is easily accessible from local downtown hotels. Its interior is cozy with a small bar seating area available and coastal artwork on display throughout the restaurant. The pay special attention to details (hello peach-thyme butter with the... The first time I was at this restaurant - I was so impressed. The service was perfection and the food was so good. I had the seasonal salad and the smoked pork shoulder stack. I cannot say enough about the flavors and presentation of this food. So Good!!!

I was visiting family in Tallahassee and have heard so much about Cypress. I had visited years ago, and friends kept saying it was "world class" and the best restaurant in Tallahassee. I live in a large city and so am accustomed to very good food with very good service, when paying the prices that Cypress commands. Cypress cannot hold... More

It is unfortunate that your objection to our cake fee has turned into a smear campaign across all social media outlets. It’s our policy. You don’t have to like it but abide by it. It is evident that your recollection of events was clouded by your anger. Although the term has been around a while, The Oxford Dictionary added the... More

This place is great. Great bar area with well made cocktails. Cheese course offerings were a great surprise and are outstanding. Nice variety of both classic and new Southern cuisine, well executed and delicious. I've been there twice now and excellent both times. Outstanding wine list and great desserts as well. A really pleasant surprise in Tallahassee!

First of all -- 2 people, 2 entrees, 2 appetizers & one bottle of wine near the bottom of the price list = $173 with a tip. That is a New York City price. Why in the world does one of the cheapest bottles of wine on the list have to be $44? And our new server was very overmatched,... More

Thank you for your feedback. My staff and I work really hard at providing an all-around gratifying experience and are frustrated when we fall short of diner’s expectations. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food. I would like to address your criticisms. When you say that your server was “overmatched”, I would like to know more specifics... More

We were taking our son to FSU, we want have dinner together. We checked the reviews and went there. The restaurant is excellent, we had the tuna and was amazing! The desert was very good too. But it was a pleasant surprise to find a cheese menu with a very good selection of artisanal cheeses. The food is outstanding and... More

This is, in my opinion, the best, most innovative and inventive restaurant in Tallahassee. Young, clever chefs. Phenomenal Craft Cocktails. New ways of really playing up the tastes of Florida ingredients. We can't wait to go back. The clientele was mixed - young millennials and slightly older people like us. We travel a lot, and I'd put Cypress up against... More

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at the Cypress restaurant in Tallahassee. The location was right around the corner from the Aloft Hotel and so enjoyed a little walk. We were not in the mood for a really larger dinner so I had a fantastic mushroom soup with an appetizer plate of crab cakes.. FANTASTIC. My husband... More
