So the first time I was here I was not impressed and swore I would never come back. We’ll never say never the cold red were delicious and my waiter/bartender Nick Hill was awesome, very friendly and great mixologist!

Shrimp Scampi served with overcooked mushy spaghetti pasta, no sauce either. Was so bad could not eat. Salad leaves were wilted, but charged $6 extra for it. Service equally bad. RipOFF prices. One of the worse over rated restaurants in Tallahassee.
We had a truly delicious meal. Patrick, our server, was attentive and friendly even though they were packed. The gator bites, calamari, fried snapper, and trigger fish were all excellent. We will definitely return!
I was looking forward to coming but I truly regret trying it. The food was overcooked and nasty AF!!
I Took my daughter there for her 25th birthday. I Called ahead and was told the Low Country Boil with crab added would be $24.99. When we got there and ordered, I again asked the waitress what the Low Country Boil would cost if we...added crab. She assured us it would be just a slight upcharge to add crab and came to our table after checking and told us our total would be $27 instead of $24.99. We thought this was fantastic, so we ordered 3 orders. When we got the bill we were totally shocked! For 3 orders of low country boil, it was 24.99 + 27.00 each. Totally shocked with the bill being over $200, I asked the waitress why the bill was so high. The waitress argued with me that it was due to the tax??? I insisted on talking to the manager after She finally admitted it was her mistake about the upcharge. I was very troubled and disappointed after talking to Travis the manager. He apologized for the mistake but was not willing to discount any of the bill for us. I feel we were mislead and totally taken advantage of by this establishment! I will never step foot in it again!More
The restaurant is poor, unaccommodating, rude, and entirely unconcerned with its customers. On 2.18.2022 my wife ordered Shrimp Scampi. Four small, dried-out shrimp were served on a bed of noodles. All of it was covered with a powdery substance that smelled and tasted of dirty...socks. It entirely lacked garlic and could not be eaten. It was not a question of merely not liking what was served, but the menu billed it as Shrimp Scampi--which it wasn't. This was brought to the attention of the waiter who did nothing but say that he was sorry. No offer was made to replace it. Given the poor quality of the food and because it could not be consumed, we requested that the $17-18 item be removed from the bill. The server said that "we don't do that here, but you can talk to the manager." The "manager" came to the table and said essentially the same thing. When asked why he stated, "because we don't do that and we already made it" and walked away. "Disappointing" is not a sufficiently descriptive term for the experience. The bigger issue is the miserable attitude of employees, on-site management, and how customers are treated. I would urge anyone considering patronizing this restaurant to stay away. All businesses have "bad nights" that can be forgiven. However, the miserable way that this restaurant is run, treats customers, and the quality of its product suggests that these are regular business practices.More
This was the best seafood I've had in a long time. The grouper and sweet potato fries were outstanding. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.
I do so want a good seafood restaurant to succeed in Tallahassee, so I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt. My experience here has been consistently inconsistent. Fried platters are my guilty pleasure. Here, I have had the best (!) and the...worst—crisp and brown beyond recognition, oyster bits, but no whole oysters. I keep giving them one more chance. The quality of the seafood always seems good. It’s what they do to it in the kitchen. Today, the fried portion was ok, but I decided to try a portion blackened in case the fry cook was not up to par. It was so salty I could hardly eat it. I brought it home hoping I could salvage it somehow—so it’s in the freezer where disappointments go until I need space. The service ranges from ok to indifferent to absent. I know these are difficult times but I do hope this one can succeed. The quality is there.More
Bad night. Sadly this was due to rude and terrible server named Buster. He brought out three of our four dinners and said the last entree “is coming”. However, he proceeded to serve other tables and not bring my son’s dinner. After nearly 10 minutes...of waiting (we were all waiting for him to be served to eat)… my husband found Buster to ask about my son’s burger. His answer? “I don’t work in the kitchen”. No apology and still, no burger. So then I came inside to ask to speak to the manager… guess who they bring out? Buster! I’m incredulous at how he spoke to my husband and his lame further explanation that “he has NO choice to bring the food out when the kitchen sends it out”. Interesting coming from the supposed “manager”. First, don’t talk shop to customers and definitely don’t argue about your poor service… but then to be completely unapologetic. To top off a terrible night, he proceeded to serve EVERY TABLE OUTSIDE EXCEPT OURS for the remainder of the night. I had to go to the bar inside to request drink refills. He sent a different server with our bill and NEVER came back to our table. I can count the number of times I left NO tip on a bill on one hand… this was one.More
I got a free $25.00 coupon for my birthday so we went. Service sucked, took almost 20 minutes just to get a drink and place our order. 50 minutes in we finally got our food (1 drink never got offered a 2nd). I ordered pescado...entero (whole fried fish). $24.99. What I got was the size of a bait fish- less than 1/2 pound and this is with the head and bones. It was over cooked and cold. Awful. Oh and the free music is compliments of Hurricanes - restaurant next door which has great service and good food would not recommend this place and if you get a coupon for your birthday throw it out!!More

Despite living in Tallahassee, this was my first visit to Tally Fish House. Jody was my server and she was awesome - attentive and very helpful with menu choices. The Maclay Heyday drink was delicious. I had the coconut shrimp. The shrimp were huge and...delicious! Loved the cheese grits. Service was excellent and food was delivered quickly. Enjoyed the music.More
After 2 appetizers and 4 entrees, only one person was happy with their food. Fish tacos are recommended. Oysters, gator tail, fish & grits, and blackened chicken are not. We recommend Jonah's in Thomasville for a more satisfying seafood meal.
Atmosphere is great especially when the seating is outside next to Hurricane (next visit will go there) and there live music. However this does not make up for the service and food All appetizers and entrees brought out together. One entrée wasn't at least warm....They microwaved it. Really? Food was not very goodMore
Served was good. Fried Shrimp, fish, oysters and stuffed crab all overdone to the point of being crispy and tasteless. sea scallops fried just right. Sides were good - especially the cheese grits. Server said they had a new fry cook.
