Picked up dinner from Royal Thai and Sushi today. I got the Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, spring roll, and Philadelphia sushi roll. Pad Thai: I paid extra for extra veggies and didn’t get any. I expected more since I didn’t have any meat. Nonetheless, the Pad Thai was flavorful. I always get it without the egg. It’s hard to mess up this dish. Drunken Noodles: this dish was really dry. Again paid extra for veggies since I didn’t have meat and they did not put extra veggies. This dish was less flavorful. If they had made it wet (saucy), then it would have been amazing. Spring roll: The sauce for the spring rolls was delicious. It made me want to have another order of the spring rolls. At $6 for 4 small spring rolls, I thought it was a little pricey but good. Philadelphia roll: it was okay. Nothing to write home about. The location of this venue makes it challenging to recommend as a dine in option because there are very few parking spaces nearby. It is a good restaurant for FSU students but not for the local community to enjoy. I would only go again if I had someone to run in and pick up pre-ordered food.

Pleasant surprise

I had to go to the post office on Monday. After finishing I drove slowly in the strip mall to check out what was available there. When I spotted Royals I was curious. I parked in front of the restaurant and went in. It was before the lunch rush and I was greeted by the hostess and the sushi chef. I placed an order for Mongolian Beef to go and after studying the menu I added soft shell crab sushi to go. When I got home my husband and I sat down to a delicious treat. We totally enjoyed both dishes and will go there for dinner soon.

Traveled around the world. I’ve seen it all, I’ve done it all, and let me tell you, this restaurant is the pinnacle. A true hidden gem. The chefs are truly and authentically Asian and it translates well into their mastery of not only Thai, but Asian cuisine in general. Sure you could go there and just get pad Thai and it will be great, but if you truly want to go above and beyond, you need to go big and go for the specialty dishes (duck curry, rack of lamb, specialty rolls). Highly recommend.

Always a treat!

We tend to come in about once a week when the sushi cravings hit. The fish is always fresh and delicious with great service and prices. Their fried ice cream is hands down the best in town. Unfortunately they have not been able to serve that dish due to a supply shortage, but that just goes to show how they will not lower their standards to a lower quality product. Highly recommend for both sushi and Thai food lovers.

My favorite restaurant in Tallahassee!🤩

Silverdan, I Had lunch at Royal Thai and Sushi in Tallahassee this past Saturday. This is now my favorite place to eat in Tallahassee! We had the Gator roll with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, cilantro, yellow tail, eel sauce, spicy Mayo, sriracha and jalapeño, so fresh and tasted great! For the main course we had house duck, crispy duck with mixed vegetables and their house special jungle curry. Duck was very tender and skin crispy and the jungle curry was fantastic! When it comes to Thai food I am somewhat of a snob. I used to work in Thailand and I love Thai food. This was a good as the best I had in Thailand. They have a very large menu with lots of choices of sushi and Thai. This is my new go to place in Tallahassee!

Food was so tasty and service was excellent. Servers are very friendly, the owner was also very friendly and helpful came out to ask us if everything was okay, and sushi boy was really cute. Really enjoyed my time here, will be returning regularly!

Just got back from our first visit at Royal Thai and Sushi. My husband and I both ordered Thai, and both of us loved our dinners. Everything was well prepared, and I especially loved all the fresh vegetables they serve in their dishes. The curry was among the best we've ever had--spicy, creamy and delicious! The menu has many tempting items, and I can't wait to go back and perhaps try the sushi. We will return!

What a great place to stop in for Thai food. We had the Thai wings which were crispy, vegetable roll and the bang bang shrimp which were delicious. We also tried the pad Thai that was delicious as well. For apps we also tried the steamed and fried dumplings. These are so good.

Best Sushi Ever

The food was exquisite. The portions were great. The service was excellent. I really enjoyed my experience. The Miami Heat roll I ordered was flavorful with a good amount of spice.

Well it’s the worst Thai food I’ve had in 20 states. Service wasn’t great but it was just the food mostly. I think if you know better, you just don’t go here

Great Thai and Sushi - We will go back!

We decided to try this place while In town. We ordered online for pickup and their website was very easy to use. We arrived about :15 early and it was ready almost after we arrived. Our group had: Pad kee nao - very flavorful and prepared well. Pad Thai (ordered medium spicy) which was also very flavorful and the perfect level of spice. Yellow Curry with chicken - again, spot on with the flavors. A California roll which was fresh and also flavorful. A Gator Roll - a chef’s special that was amazing, full of flavors. For appetizers we had: Thai Curry Puff which was new for us but was really good. Chicken Satay (chicken on skewers) which were okay, but not anything spectacular - no real flavor at all - probably the least favorite of our meal; and Bang Bang shrimp which were truly amazing. Several of us commented that we could have ordered several orders of these and would have been happy. So - with the exception of the Chicken Satay, we were VERY pleased with all of our selections and would definitely order them again.

Thai-licious!! AND a sushi chef too!!!

We accidentally stopped in for lunch- on vacation h. So surprised to find the owner/master chef working alone. (Covid impact on restaurants!). The food was made to perfection, ingredients fresh and NO fillers! You must go-both for a palate pleaser and to support this amazing restaranteur.....You WILL go back. Extremely clean, inviting and Covid proof- eat in or dine out- just don’t miss it!
