I ordered through the Grbhub app. The food came a little late. It was very good, although there was a mistake with my order. I ordered the flauta meal. When I opened the bag there was only 1 flauta, not 4. I called the restaurant...and spoke to the manager. He did offer to fix me another meal, and when I said we are about to sit down to eat he did say the flauta was billed at the single flauta price. He was cordial, and I will check Tuesday to see what was actually billed and update/upgrade my review. Even with the mistake, I recommend this restaurant.More

The food is delicious and freshly prepared. One meal is usually enough for two to share; really good prices at lunch time!

Most is usual american mexican fare, big pile of refried beans and rice with each meal, chips and salsa on the table when you arrive. But the fish tacos are with fresh grilled grouper. Order with soft flour tortillas instead of the taco shells! Very...good margaritas!More

El Jalisco is a family run chain with several Tallahassee locations. This one is good, but there are others that I prefer. That said, the food is consistently tasty, and the service is fast at lunch time.

We always hear the radio advertisements, see the commercials, hear about it from people & have been saying we need to try it & finally did. And it was worth it! Pollo El Jalisco & El Jalisco Nachos were both very very good. Large plates...of food & reasonably priced. Our waiter was great too.More

It takes a lot to impress me when it comes to food but this place was on point tonight. Having just ate at another Mexican place for lunch, El Jalisco exceeded my expectations and their competitors. My meal and dessert were so fresh and delicious....You get a lot of food with each order so compared to the price it’s a good deal. The service was slow but I will definitely be coming back.More

We have visited this location of El Jalisco several times and continue to be disappointed. Not only did we have the worst service ever, but the food took a very long time to order and to come out. We had a large group of friends...and no one got their food at the same time. The portions have gotten smaller and less appetizing looking. It appeared that was food was just thrown on the plate. We ordered 2 for 1 Margaritas and got one round. The drinks were watered down and the second round took so long that we never got the second drink and the manager argued with us that not getting the second drink was our fault. We asked that it be taken off the bill and were told that would not happen. Therefore we will NEVER go back again to this location.More

we went to el Jalisco on Tuesday and were quite pleased with the lunch specials. today was for $5 - enchilada, taco and quesadilla, we had that and split a great guacamole dip. all in all we paid $15 for a pretty fair meal, good...service, pleasant folks. our waitress was great. we had enough left over on the quesadilla to take home. all week long they have $5 lunch menu changing daily. decent salsa and chips.More

Locals, especially students, love the reliably good and cheap drinks. The food is standard and not at all bad. The service is usually pretty great, if busy.

Since I reviewed this El Jalisco location in January, they changed their menu eliminating the cheaper options, generally raising prices, and the food quality and service have definitely slipped. At least for lunch, the number of patrons has significantly decreased. I would say the current...state of this restaurant is mediocre Mexican food that is not a value at the new price points.More

When the waiter handed me a $18 bill (no details, just the total) for nachos and a draft beer, I asked for a detailed bill. The waiter talked to the manager and finally gave me the detailed bill showing that the nachos were $9 (which...I knew) but the small draft beer was $7. I asked to speak to the manager. He said that the beers were two for one: the first beer cost $7 and the second one was free. I had no idea and I didn't want a second beer. He would not refund me $3.50. Get details on your bill and watch out!!!More
