We sat at the bar and was having a great dinner and service with social distancing. Then a couple sat next to us in the taped off area with no stools so we assume they brought them over. We said something to them and they...became obnoxious. We then asked our waitress why they were able to sit in a taped off area and she replied they could not control that. We quickly paid our bill and left and on our way out we asked the couple why they felt they could sit there and got a lot of nasty comments. Since The Black Marlin cant' control the mandated distance we will not go back. Too bad.More

We met friends (6) at the Black Marlin for drinks, we had good service and the drinks were great! It was our friends choice of venue, it was ok, but there are many places I would choose over them.

Friendly people, comfortable place. The bruschetta was more of a Greek salad on top of bread. Not a classical bruschetta, really overdone, but it was fine. The filet mignon was actually a very healthy slice for $28. It had a good bit of connective tissue,...which means it wasn’t the best cut, but it was still good. I’m not sure I would put a mushroom sauce on top of a filet, but it did work out pretty well with the rest of the plate. The flourless chocolate cake was cold, which is a mistake, and it seemed to be created elsewhere, but it was still good. However, $4 for an espresso? It’s not Manhattan. Might want to rethink that one. If not a whole lot else is open, you can get a decent meal here.More

Visited on Halloween night, the ladies behind the bar were awesome with festive makeup for the night of fright. Cozy hometown bar and dinning area. Tasteful reno not too long ago.

I had no idea what to expect as we wandered in - and it just happened to be my birthday. Our waitress had a great personality and the food was very good!

We visited the restaurant on Friday evening 10/4/19 at about 6:30 PM. It is a small place with a good an active bar scene. The bar was crowded and very active. Many diners enjoying the bar and related activities. We chose to sit in a...booth that separated the bar from the tables and booths. We ordered a vegetarian pizza for my wife and a I enjoyed the crunchy grouper fish sandwich along with a glass of wine and a domestic beer. The diners in our area were quite vocal and loud. There was no control over the noise or conversation of the other diners. It was not a good experience because of the loud noise. The food, service and price were all very good and more than acceptable. We unfortunately will not return due to the noise volume. Hopefully management will take into consideration of the other diners in the future.More

Looking for somewhere new to try for appetizers and drinks we came across The Black Marlin. A great find! Excellent service from long term employ Michael. We enjoyed a nice mix of discounted appetizers and house wine during the early bird special. Music was at...a level that allowed conversation without yelling and over all noise level was very acceptable. We will be back!More

We didn't eat, but stopped by to check it out. Wound up staying a bit for a late night drink. Prompt service, friend staff and fellow bar mates. Hope to come back for dinner. Ate there years ago and thought it had closed!
