Dropped by to get a drink and apps. Two- one male and one female- bartenders obviously felt we we didn’t deserve their time. Never got basic eye contact!!! Awful service and definitely would NEVER go back.

Tried Black Marlin on the recommendation of locals. Not impressed. Good wine list and house cocktails, though appetizers and bar food are just average. Didn't seem to be house-made. One bartender was attentive, the other was visibly distracted by friends at the bar and dealing...with server questions. We may go back to see if our experience was just an off evening or the way this place always operates.More
Good food good service. Only open for dinner. There were 5 of us we all got different entrees and all were satisfied.
We did have a wait to be seat but other than that everything was great. Service, drinks and food. (A must try)
Great bartenders, fun crowd and the best happy hour around. We have had almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Start with the bruschetta and end with the Mussels Audrey, Great place!
We’ve walked by this little restaurant many times and I’m so glad we finally went in! The atmosphere was charming, our waiter Michael was attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious! The wahoo fish dip was one of the best we’ve had in the area....I got the Santa Fe salad with blackened shrimp - amazing! My husband got the salmon with crabmeat and devoured it. We will definitely be adding Black Marlin to our favorite restaurants list!More
Been living in this area for almost 6 years, finally gave The Black Marlin a try. Wish I did sooner. They have an awesome happy hour Monday-Saturday 4-6pm. Full size appetizers at a discount and $5 house wines and well drinks. Great way to try...some of their offerings. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Nice atmosphere in the heart of downtown. Location is right near the water.More
From the Bam Bam Shrimp, to the Snapper Asiago, to the Bananas Foster, every single dish that we have ever had here has been over the top, quality wise, quantity wise, and you don't need your check book. Behind the bar, you have a plethora...of mixologists, making drinks with their eyes closed, and never fail. The lighting is perfect, as the fragrance of that Hudson Valley Aged Smoked Old Fashion permeates through the air. The bar team, Jeff, Shauna, Natalie, Denise, Darlene, and Jimmy, won't leave a stone unturned to make sure your experience there will have you coming back. With Rich, Jeff, Rachel, and Elyssa cranking out the most amazing plates, and soups, with every attention to detail, you will be trying to go through the entire menu, like my wife and I are currently attempting. A true pearl of a find.More
Food and service was beyond the best! Our waitress was thoughtful and cheery. Really took her time helping us order. My ribeye special was the best! And I had enough left over for lunch the next day. But one of the nicest things about this...restaurant is that we could actually hear each other in conversation! Can't wait to go back!More
Group or 4 for dinner, really enjoyed our meal. Started with fried calamari, it was great, and a huge portion. Then had Italian seafood pasta, and also reef and beef. The pasta was my favorite, Large and generous hunks of meat and seafood. Highly recommend...
We have been to The Black Marlin several times. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good but not great food. My husband and I both ordered the Filet; he ordered his Rare, I ordered mine Medium Rare. His came out Medium, Mine came out Medium Well; not...even close to what we ordered. We returned them.... after a short wait, we received new meals. They were over cooked again but this time we ate them as they were not as bad as before and we were hungry. How does a chef/cook overcook a meal twice? They comped my dinner but we would have gladly paid for a meal cooked properly. Server was apologetic but dinner was ruined. Also, staff wore masks but a lot of guests did not.More
Fantastic Birthday Dinner! Calamari & Fried Green tomatoes were delicious! Snapper Asiago was so good! My son had Reef & Beef and said it was great! We will be back! Thanks for the fantastic service!
We truly enjoy every meal from this place! it's worth the visit. Their specialty is seafood and lots of it!. Every dish is top quality/gourmet, you won't go wrong in this place. From the servers to the meal presentation, it's a gem of a place...to be at. A favorite dish? it's hard to pick one since the executive chef makes every dish to perfection. For starters, you must try the mussels appetizers, their daily soups (any of them) it's all delicious. The prices for the dishes are very reasonable. We will definitely be returning.More
My husband & I had a delicious dinner at the bar & even tho it was quite busy the service was great and the bar was clean. This was our first dinner out since COVID and the employees all wore masks and the eating areas...& bathroom was clean. Will be back soon.More
We sat at the bar and was having a great dinner and service with social distancing. Then a couple sat next to us in the taped off area with no stools so we assume they brought them over. We said something to them and they...became obnoxious. We then asked our waitress why they were able to sit in a taped off area and she replied they could not control that. We quickly paid our bill and left and on our way out we asked the couple why they felt they could sit there and got a lot of nasty comments. Since The Black Marlin cant' control the mandated distance we will not go back. Too bad.More
