Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and went to the deck area where there were only a few tables with people at them. Eventually we were informed that they were very understaffed by the woman working as a waitress. Finally got water and a...menu and at first we felt empathy for the woman and the man who came out to help her with doling out menus....but....he was more interested in getting water bowls for the dogs then anything else. After waiting another 5 mins I got up and went into the bar area and asked the guy if I could order 3 drafts. He said, oh sure, let me get them and I will bring them to you. 10 mins later he still didn't bring the drafts to our table. No one had a thing on their tables except water glasses and menus and there are only about 10 tables total on the deck. We got up and left and went across the street to Tide House which was Super Exceptional in service, food, and views! Do yourself a favor and try the Tide House with complementary valet parking. The Deck House is dead to us now.More

I am sorta of local and have been dining here for many years. Honestly I have not been overly impressed with food in past 3-4 years but never a crazy disappointing such not to return. Based on the location, the view and sense of old...world " Keys" on the treasures coast. This little Marina bar restaurant motel is like a little time capsule. I've been averaging 3-5 visits for drinks and lunch for past 5 years. I strolled in last night Without Thinking about the Stuart Boat Show in full swing. As a result the Deck was operating on a "limited" menu but they made a more average generous attempt to provide us with more than what was published option.... end result was we got plenty of options . I had a Philly Steak that was extremely nice. Chicken Quesadilla were also hit. Most importantly... the new managment appears to be Very well versed in making people smile. They are instituting a few changes while maintaining a keen eye on preserving the history and special ambiance that often gets wiped away with forward motion and freshening . The enhanced sense of improved quality of fresh , nicely presented food, served with pride and a smile suggests to me that Kim will be successful. I will will return soon to monitor their commitments! Well Done!More

We used to go to the deck 3 to 4 times a week when it was owned by Steve and Ruth and they did a great job the food was delicious and always fresh! Since the late 90s early 2000’s, the deck has changed ownership...probably three or four times and it’s gotten worse and worse. I Heard they had new owners yet once again so I called the phone number I had and it was disconnected. I called the Harbour Inn which is the hotel where it’s located and they told me that they are open but their phone is not working. I went there by boat and walked in. There were two men at the bar and nobody else, so I sat next to them while three employees were gathered around the cash register just in front of me and ignoring me for five minutes while they were working on their cash register. Finally a fourth person came out of the kitchen, not in a uniform or anything and said “oh I didn’t see you there,” I said well I’ve been sitting here for five or six minutes and he said what am I drinking and I ordered water. The menu is extremely limited with very few items. I ordered the 10 chicken wings which was either $13 or $14 which I found a little excessive however if it’s good, who cares! This guy didn’t write anything down and he screwed up all three orders (the 2 guys next to me and mine) He was asking them how they like their chicken wings even though I was the one who ordered them. I told this guy, I’m the one who ordered them. ( found out later that he was the manager...wow) I also ordered blue cheese which never came with them. I asked him if they come with carrots or celery and he says no it comes with no vegetables at all it comes just with the wings. (No fries, no lettuce, no NOTHING!) He brings the wings out and you could see this in the pictures the wings were tiny as if from a pigeon. There were only six wings on the platter and when I asked is this a lunch special since there are supposed to be 10, he said no the other wings were so much smaller that I didn’t bother making them so I gave you six wings ..... these are jumbos!!!! These wings are half the size of Publix or Hurricane wings or anywhere else where you would go! JUMBOS????? I said to this guy I hope you’re going to give us a discount for these wings because as it turns out, the fellows next to me also wanted an order of wings which came out just a small and only 6 instead of 10! He said I’ll take care of you and I’ll give you a discount since you’re only getting six instead of the 10. The wings were tasteless! They also did not have a variety of sauces only one sauce buffalo mild and that was it. When the bill came, he charged me $10 for six tiny wings. When you look at the pictures, I will let you decide for yourself if you think this was a value or not My observation is this place will be lucky if they stay in business for more than 90 days. The food was bad, the service was even worse, the portions are not what they advertise or claim, they had no cups for takeout drinks, they had no condiments for takeout as the fellows next to me ordered a hamburger to go because it was taking so long to make although there were only three of us in the restaurant and they had no ketchup, no mustard, no mayonnaise or any other condiments to take away. In my opinion, having been open for over two weeks (I heard this manager telling somebody else that they’ve been open a little over two weeks) they should either stay closed until they have everything ordered or get their act together and find somebody that knows how to manage a restaurant. I am being generous by giving them one star.More

We were here last weekend for drinks and dinner. We ate outside by the water, which the kids loved. The menu could use a little perking up, but the peel and eat shrimp were great. Was a good place to go with 10 of us....Service was great!More

Enjoyed lunch here last Saturday. We arrived mid afternoon and it was very quiet. I enjoyed the blackened shrimp tacos and they were about perfect. Nice but not hot seasoning and plentyful shrimp. I believe I had 2 tacos and they were plenty filling. My...hubby had fried oysters and he was less than happy with his selection, said the oysters were not fresh. But it is a great location on the water with live music, great service and pleasant wait staff. And you know, there are not many places in Stuart to dine and enjoy the sunset. Enjoy!More

Friendly, comfortable, and inviting. Loved the old time Florida feel. It's a diamond in the rough. My husband says the Seafood Chowder is the best he's ever had and is a meal in and of itself. We'll be back!
