All reviews eggplant veal sorrentino salad seafood cannoli bread linguine masala beef soups italian food complimentary limoncello downtown stuart colorado inn delightful restaurant last night service was great
Our family of three had a delicious dinner (eggplant parm and a couple of seafood dishes). We also loved the meatball app and the house salads. Jodi was an excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly server. 100% would return!
We had dinner last night outside on the patio. First in person dining since Covid. Very comfortable sitting outside. Food as always was delicious! Highly recommend this family owned restaurant.., thank you Rose!
Had dinner there last night and it was delicious. Service was great - just enough and not too much. Had the house special lasagna which did not disappoint. They have a good wine list by the glass. Definitely a find.
Took my wife there for her Birthday. We only dine outside and were ushered past empty round tables in front to a little area in the back w bench seats and cheap cushions which slid forward becase the narrow benches sloped that way. We squeezed...into the table and leaned back against the wood plank that gouged into the lumbar. Tip to 18, don't sit anyone in that spot unless you want bad reviews. My Birthday girl asked if we could ease move and they brought out some chairs for a never used table just outside the back door, which we appreciated. So far, only a little disappointing, but forgivable because of prior good experience. Our waitress was nice and started off explaining what they didn't have in the way of food and wine. Not her fault that this italian restaurant had not one bottle of chianti, chianti classico, vino nobile or brunello to go with our dinner. What??? She explained that all they had in the way of Italian wines was an Amarone at $88 and chianti by the glass from a big bottle. We settled for the jug wine at $9 per 4 oz pour, though we didn't know either the price or the pour size. $36 for 16 oz of cheap jug wine??? I would say the meals, a veal marsala and the same heaped with brocolli and sausage, were at best average. The veal was skimpy but tender and the marsala sauce was a bit off, to the point Beth wasn't sure it was really Marsala. Our visit really deserved a 2, or a 1, but based on past experiences, i give it the benefit of a 3. They have to do better with the new Italian restaurant over on Ocean. For us, we are done with 18 Seminole.More
This Italian Bistro is located on a one-way street in downtown Stuart. There is no doubt that this residential house was redesigned as a delightful restaurant. We have driven by this place hundreds of times, but tonight gave it a try. resrtaurant
There is garden...dinning, inside dining and patio dining. My wife and I chose to sit on a high top in the garden area. She thought the inside dining was a bit too cool for her as she is sensitive to temperatures. The patio dining would be good for large groups.
As it was mid-February, the weather was just delightful. The owner does not believe in tiki-fire sticks, and thus you are at the mercy of the environment. My wife was bite by some bug in the back. It is Florida.
We were served by a delightful waitress named Rose. She knew the menu inside and out.
When asked about drinks, my wife ordered a White Zinfandel. I would have liked an Italian Peroni, but 18th Seminole has had trouble getting this beer from their vendor. Thus, a tasty Yuengling fit the bill.
We were quickly served bread with herbs and oil. We told ourselves we were back on the Isle of Capri. The bread and oil are delicious. We may have had too much though.
The chef/owner had just finish making Clams Casino. It took 15 minutes for the order to be baked. Not too spicy. In fact, my wife who does not like spices, loved this dish. I like spice, but found enough to enjoy the three of the six Clams Casino.
A small soup came with entrees. Tonight’s creation was “hearty beef and vegetable.” It was indeed delicious. Our waitress said the chef, whose name is Skip, makes excellent soups. We also learned that one can order a “bowl” of soup which is not on the menu.
I enjoyed the Shrimp Ala Fra Diavolo ($25). The waitress warned me that the chef does make this dish spicy, and maybe ordering it extra spicy would bring trouble. The normal way is just right with enough kick to enjoy it.
There were six very large tasty shrimp in the dish. The linguini was delicious and so was the sauce.
My wife had the Shrimp Chef Style ($25). She would have preferred having my six large shrimp without any spices. I actually found her dish quite tasty.
Likewise, the mixed vegetables did not suit her. I thought it was just fine.
We topped the evening with a homemade Italian Cannoli. No chocolate chips or pistachios to jazz it up. It is good old fashion authentic Cannoli—just delightful.
The evening cost us a tad over hundred dollars. For what we received we thought the price is just right.
18 Seminole is a place we will try again. There are a few other items we would like to try. We give this hard-working chef and owner, five thumps up.More
I love this restaurant. The food is great from the appetizers to the dessert. We enjoyed veal Sorrentino and linguini with white clam sauce. Both were plentiful and very tasty. Our salads were fresh and delicious. You choose from salad or soup included with your...entree. My husband enjoyed fried calamari with both tentacles and rings. That is the sign of fresh for him. If a restaurant only sells rings they were usually frozen. Dessert was coffee and a delicious cannoli.More
We have dined here every week during our December stay in stuart. Great distancing, love the back deck, and among our favorite dishes: any veal, lasagna, chef's shrimp, mussels...all wonderful, with covid safe procedures strictly followed.
Great atmosphere in what appears to be a renovated house..there is parking but the first time you go it’s not easy to find. After a hectic day, we just wanted a quiet dinner with good food. 18 Seminole was that and more. Friendly and excellent...server. Dinner comes with soup or salad but there was no soup. I think it’s because we went on a Tuesday. Salad was wonderful with a great house made dressing. Excellent bread too. I had a wonderful chicken parm and my husband has the veal Marsala. Both were excellent. We will be back.More
