Copacabana is a small place with plenty of hospitality. The atmosphere is nothing less than homey, staff is warm and welcoming, and the service is at the top.
The fried steak with rice and beans was prepared perfectly, plentiful, and hot. The chef is from...the Dominican Republic and his cooking is exactly like I remember from my many visits.
The staff was attentive to the dinners needs and responsive to their requests.
While the atmosphere isn't fancy, it makes you feel at home.
I recommend Copacabana and I will return.
Travel Thru My Eyes, Let's GOMore
This beautiful city, Spring Hill boasts lots of great restaurants. I decided to try this restaurant called Copa Cabana today for dinner. Sis and I split two meals being Ropa Vieja and Pollo Guisado. Both come with rice, beans, sweet plantains. To be honest, I...can’t finish it all!!!! I’m a big eater but omg, this is such a nice meal! I think the food is Puerto Rican and Cuban. Our waitress is a sweetheart and the food is such a welcome change.
This is a must try!!!More
I ordered two pressed Cubans and two beef empanadas. The empanadas were decent. One of my sandwiches had no mayo, mustard or pickles? The menu said either chips or plantain chips, but I wasn’t asked a preference and didn’t receive either.
We were very happy to have discovered this place. The 3 of us had an empanada, jibarito, mangu and ropa vieja, all of which were delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. The mangu is listed as a breakfast item, but...she let us have it at dinner. We will definitely return.More
I've stopped in several times for a meal, they never disappoint. Always clean and kind staff. The food is excellent. I recommend the Picadillo or the Carne Guisada. This place has BIG empanadas also. If you go around the corner, you pay a bit more...for a little less. Here, you pay less for alot more. Very worth it.More
We happened upon this restaurant while house hunting. They have an extensive selection of Puerto Rican and Cuban foods. The pernil is excellent and comes in a lunch special with a smaller portion size. I barely was able to finish this dish. The bistec Cuban...style is also a winner.More
