This was our first time at Ophelia's. We had heard that it was very good. We made an early reservation so that we could pick inside/outside depending on the weather that day. Valet was very friendly and took care of our car with consideration. Hostess...was nice, but not real friendly. Appeared too "zoned in on table selection rather than greeting her guests. Restaurant had just opened and she was very accommodating in table selection. Atmosphere was very nice, clean and relaxing. A perfect spot for a relaxed dinner or special occasion. Annette was our server and she was fantastic! Always attentive and available. Made perfect suggestions and very friendly. We were treated as if we were returning family guests. She made the nite very special. The food was wonderful! Everything from the oyster appetizer thru the triple chocolate desert. Bread and water service was spot on with wait staff always serving and removing from the proper side. Wait staff were at attention in the room and always available for assistance. Serving portions were generous and perfectly arranged on each plate. Presentation, presentation, presentation was always perfect. Our dinner could not have been better. Each element stood on it's own and the flavors were outstanding. It was not just a side dish or side "filler" of the main entrée. The prices were higher than a normal restaurant, but in line with the quality of the food and service. I can not recommend experiencing Ophelia's more highly. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Go enjoy and relax. Ophelia's will take care of you!More

While visiting Siesta Key my husband and 3 year old dined here because it was close to where we were staying and the menu looked great. Our first attempt we were silly enough to think we could walk in with no reservation. The valet suggested...we come back the next day. Looking at open table the next available time slot was 2 days out at 7:30pm so we took it. We’ve never been to a restaurant that changes their menu daily but think it’s a cool feature, and we were happy with the selections available the day we dined here. We didn’t get a sense that this was a kid friendly restaurant, however our son is well behaved and has an advanced palate so we weren’t too concerned about what he would eat. When we walked in I felt as though the manager at the hostess table had an issue with us having a toddler in our party. Everyone is so nice here in Siesta Key. She was not. I am from NY, I know attitude when I see it. We were made to wait even though they weren’t helping anyone else, when we were finally seated they gave us no option to sit outside, they stuck us in a corner with no view. It felt intentional as though we would have been say somewhere else but then after seeing the kid they scrambled to place us elsewhere. I guess that’s what attempting fine dining with a kid gets you. Turns out they actually have a kids menu, although it’s not advertised, so someone must like kids there, just not that person. I will say our waitress and busboy were excellent. I had the best cocktail my entire vacation at this restaurant, the bartenders really know what they’re doing! The food we ordered was delicate and delicious, however my husband’s fish was undercooked. He wasn’t going to complain but the restaurant noticed it themselves after they were discarding the contents of his plate. In an attempt to make it right they acknowledged it by saying it shouldn’t have happened and offered complimentary dessert. The key lime pie we selected was outstanding. If we return then next time it will be sans the kid(s).More

We are surprised by the positive reviews. Yes, a lovely view on the intercostal but the food and service are not what we expect from a "fine dining" restaurant. For starters we ordered the tuna nachos and crab cakes. Crab cakes were good and the...tuna nachos had a nice flavor but the tuna was obvious not fresh. We also ordered the lobster bisque which was delivered immediately after ordering and well before the starters. Good soup --- probably the highlight of the meal. if only our waitress had a clue about what order to serve courses. We shared as we typically do...at a $10 a plate split charge! My husband and I had the snapper which was good but nothing that would make us want to return. My brother and his wife had black grouper. The grouper was dry and overcooked. When they complained to the waitress, her solution was to bring out a sauce. This restaurant enjoys a beautiful location but obviously have not put any money into updating in a very long time.More

This was by far our favorite meal of our trip. The grouper was delicious and my husband’s filet was the best filet I’ve had in years. Overall service, dinner, and dessert were amazing. Eat outside if you can because it’s one of the only places...to eat in the water. It was our most expensive but most delicious meal we had. Definitely worth it.More

It’s been a very long time since we ate at Ophelia’s but we got a coupon and decided to visit again. We had a great time, the staff from the valets to the bussers were professional, accommodating and friendly. We shared the Black Grouper entree...which was a large portion and came with asparagus, squash and mashed potatoes. The meal was excellent ( it’s a $$$$ place but we felt it was worth it) . Our server Csaba was patient, helpful and friendly. He made our visit special. We’ll be back...More

We had a Ladies Night dinner outside on patio. A gentle wind blowing, view of the Bay, and delicious food made a wonderful evening. Crab and salmon were delightful, salads and crab cakes were delicious! And the Desserts were divine: Key Lime Pie, peanut butter...and chocolate ice box dessert.More

Dined here with a good friend — after hearing multiple favorable recommendations from other friends. Place showing its age — although setting on the Intercoastal waterway still beautiful. I ordered their filet mignon — medium rare. To my disappointment, this was one of the toughest...filets of all time. Certainly not inexpensive however. Service attentive and pleasant. But “the main event” left much to be desired.More

Bartenders were friendly as they made drinks and we waited for our table. Dinner was excellent. An extensive cocktail and wine list were readily offered to our party Doug our server was informative and spot on with his service. The Tuna dish and the steak...were phenomenal. A great place to dine. Top Notch in all aspectsMore

The evening started with some confusion with our reservations for 8 people but the staff quickly rectified the problem. Definitely a place where you need a reservation. The menu offers a nice array of seafood and dishes that will also please the carnivores in the...crowd. I had the tuna dishes and I must say that they were the best I have had in some time. Other diners at the table were equally pleased with dishes that ran the gamut of the menu. They offer a full bar and the wine list has a nice variety of selections and the pricing is very reasonable. Sevice was excellent and a 3 course dinner will cost $60-80 pp without drinks. This is a place I would dine at frequently if I lived in the area.More

Sorry, I can’t tell you because we didn’t bring our own bottle. But if you call the restaurant directly I’m sure they can tell you their corkage fee.

I don't think they have a specific gluten free menu but Ophelia's is the sort of place that if you asked for a dish to be made gluten free the chef would be able to accommodate.
