About
As a culture, we’ve lost something. Even when out with friends, people are just as likely to stare at their phones and watch TV as they are to talk to one another. Twisted Grape Wine owners Kathleen and Steven “Bruno” Windham and Debbie Thomas wanted to bring back the sense of community with their wine bar and restaurant in Shalimar. There are no TVs, just wine, some beer, good food and an eclectic style that encourages guests to talk to one another. Twisted Grape has about 30 different wines available now and the owners plan to update their wine list regularly. For those non-wine drinkers, Twisted Grape also has some sparkling wine cocktails and beers.

My friend and I had dinner and appetizers at this restaurant and it was a fabulous experience starting from the time we walked in until we left. The service and greeting were warm and welcoming and the food was really good. The owner stopped by and was so gracious. The prices were very reasonable and our server was so attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

This was my second visit to Twisted Grape and both have been excellent. The first time I had the BLT with maple bacon jam and it was excellent. Today, I tried their Zin Gouda burger. I have to say this is one of the best restaurant burgers I’ve had in a very long time. We also splurged and had the maple bacon cheesecake for dessert. It was a hit. The cheesecake itself was very good. This is a restaurant that we will frequent often for lunch or dinner. The server was friendly and took very good care of us. I definitely recommend you try Twisted Grape.

I very much enjoyed taking Paula out to this amazing restaurant. We went mid day during the week and we had the place to ourselves and the owner made sure to stop by several times to welcome us and check on us. A very nice experience and we enjoyed the great charcuterie board with the Black Forest Ham and wonderful cheeses. It's very nice to have this place in NW Florida and enjoy food made with great care. Thank you to all the staff who made our visit a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning to enjoy some live music soon.

Took the family for a week day lunch. We were very impressed! The Zin-gouda Burger was one of the most enjoyable burgers I've ever had. Not only was it prepared exactly as requested, the seasoning and combination of flavors created an amazing and unique taste. The kids had flat breads and a Bacon Beer Cheeseburger, and throughly enjoyed everything. The atmosphere was relaxed and sophisticated, just what you would expect for a wine bar. Definitely planning on coming back!

My husband wanted a dinner with ambience and great food so we chose Twisted Grape. This is our third time here and we love it. The food is excellent! The dinner special was Jager Schnitzel with Spatzel and my husband had the Chicken Caprese Penne Pasta. Oh My it was delicious!!!!! We also had the Parmesan crab and shrimp dip. Wait staff is the best and very friendly. I highly recommend Twisted Grape❤️

My husband and I visited after our Wedding we are new to the area and we eloped in October! It was the best experience we really enjoyed the atmosphere the food and the staff. The staff treated us like family and we really enjoyed our visit thank you for making our Wedding Day that much more special ❤️! Shot out to Stacy for excellent service and the most uplifting attitude.

First time there and went last night for Valentine’s Day. Loved joking with our server hannah who was so sweet and phenomenal! The stuffed portobello appetizer was so good! Never had beef Wellington before and it was to die for! We will definitely be back soon to try the full menu. Thank you for providing an amazing menu and wines to pair.

My adventure to twisted grape was an adventure that should of happen when I first moved to fort walton beach. First glance from the outside does not look inviting but inside it looks like a neighborhood gem. Mismatch tables with the cutest mismatch salt and pepper shakers. Right by the window is a cozy couch that has seen a lot of people in its days. Behind the bar is a great selection of wine. Dim lightening to set the mood and not too dim if you sit next to the standing lamps
Now getting to the menu.
This place is great for light meal and snack. And perfect for meet and greets or even client meetings. On the menu is a nice selection of your common salads and pressed sandwiches. Nothing to notable. But what I went for was their award winning burger. AWARDING winning guys. It tasted amazing. Juicy enough to have the juice roll down my fingers as I squeeze. The seasoning in this burger could have been enough for the burger to stand by itself. But did they let that happen. No. It has a great aioli sauce to top it off and juicy tomato onions lettuce and pickles that doesn’t slide off the burger. One thing I want to point out again. Is it great for light meals. I got the burger that came with either chips or a side salad. It was enough for me an average human. But for an average American style dinning. It was on the smaller portion side. Nothing against twisted grape on their portion size. Because American typical eat more than they need. And also love to feel stuffed. But I did have room for dessert and wine.
I also got a sparkling wine flight because it was 2 dollar off of wine flights. This season or period of time they were offering , Sparking , Red , White and German wine flight. Nice presentation on the wine flight. My counter part got a import bottle beer served with near to frozen glass on top , for him to pour himself.
Their dessert menu is hard to just pick one thing. I got the goat cheese rolled in nuts and honey and my counter part got the maple bacon cheesecake. ( I secretly wanted both but didn’t want to order two dessert for just myself ). The goat cheese was on a new level of creamy ness and the local honey just made this the best thing ever. The maple syrup from the cheesecake tasted like no other syrup I have ever had. I am normally not a bacon should be on every meal type of gal. But guys this was a nice touch. I am probably going back this week when I want some more cheese and wine or even cheesecake.

Neighborhood gem with good selection of wine and light meals/ snacks. Total of my 2 meals with wine flight and one beer and two desserts was 56 dollars with military discount and 2 dollars off for flight. I’m telling everyone include you guys about my experience so hopefully this place become one of your hangouts when you visit Shalimar.

My family hosted a two hour private birthday celebration event for me at Twisted Grape. The owners were very easy to work with and accommodating. The buffet was delicious and the selection of beverages (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) was plentiful. The servers were excellent and made sure that all the guests were taken care of. The venue was homey and inviting. Everyone was having such a good time that virtually everyone (50 people) stayed for the entire time of the party. I highly recommend Twisted Grape Wine Bar and Cafe for special events or for a regular lunch/dinner.

The minute you walk into the Twisted Grape you realize this will be different. The owner and staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very eclectic. The sofa, chairs, tables and environment feel like a home, but with a twist as everything is unusual.
The menu is limited to two dinner entree, but lots of salads, flat breads and sandwiches. We ordered a bottle of wine and the zingouda burgers, goats in pajamas and the farmers tabke. The burgers were not large, but were very tasty. Chops or a salad were the side choices. Not a large meal, but not bad for $12. The flat bread was very good and the goat cheese made them pop!
We enjoyed are meals and the company. It is not a place where you should go if you are really hungry unless you order two dishes. A tapas or small plate restaurant that does deliver on taste, quality, friendliness and price.
