What a great place. It's dark, small and quaint, and perfect for a family dinner. The bread and olive oil is amazing, the chicken picata is on point, and the fettuccine Alfredo is oh so good. The food is super rich and full of flavor...so bring your stretchy pants and an appetite. I will make a point to come back here. Our server was great, he was very patient with us and was attentive. Please give this place a try.More
This was quite a surprise. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, located in a small strip mall. We had a group of 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The veal special was superb. The dining room is on the smaller side, but they have...a second room for overflow when it gets busier on the weekend. Would definitely go back again.More
The waiters were very professional.
I would call eating at the Italian Cousin a great dinning experience. I go to this restaurant every time I come to visit family in Sebastian. The food has always been great. I usually get whatever the special is and...my Italian brother-in-law always gets the Lasagna. When you look around at the people coming to the restaurant I get the feeling that this restaurant is well loved by the local retirees. The owner and operator
tries to come and greet you and takes time to make you feel very welcome. I rate this the best restaurant.More
My wife came across the reviews of The Italian Cousin, and they were excellent. They were also accurate. We are in this part of Florida for a short time but we have already determined that a return to this restaurant is in order despite the...45-minute drive.
The early bird special is amazing not only in its prices but also for the quality of food. There is no skimping on the quantity of food. My wife's early bird meal had as much food as my full-priced meal yet was half the price.
The caesar salad and steamed mussels for our appetizers were amazing in their flavors. Do not skip the bread; the bread alone is wonderful but the oil, basil, and garlic made the snack unbelievable.
For the entrees, my wife and I had fish. This was the clincher... the flavors were as great as everything we had experienced earlier. And the fish were cooked to perfection.
The service by Elizabeth was top notch. Our used dishes were never more than two minutes on the table before being cleared and our water glasses were always filled.
Wine was very reasonable during happy hour and the price continued as we dined past the end of happy hour.
Definitely going back to The Italian Cousin next week.More
Due to Covid, we ordered take out. The two meals we had were superb!! The Spaghetti with Meatballs was great comfort food. The sauce was as good as my mother used to make. We also ordered the Gnocchi with sausage and peppers. WOW, that dish...blew our socks off! The sauce was so smooth and flavorful and held its own vis a vis the flavorful sausage and peppers. Will definitely go back there!More
Great experience all around.
Service- excellent yet not intrusive
Chef openly recommended I try a mix of sauces once I explained my hesitation while ordering and it was the best sauce ever. Made per my order!!!! And this meal cost less than the similar outstanding...Italian restaurant in Vero that we enjoy.
Fun, happy service and fresh well prepared food. In Sebastian. Truly Heaven. Simple yet brilliant prep and presentation. We will def be back again.More
We ordered take out dinner to be picked up. I had clams linguini & my partner veal masala. Both dinners were perfect along with the salad & ciabatta bread although we could have used more of that to sop up the juices from our dinners....Whoever took our order did great. BTW we added a 20% tip. Hope everyone does that to keep these restaurants and servers going.More

Just tell the waitress you have a gluten-free diet and ask her to tell you what gluten-free menu items they have available that may interest you. I'm sure that you will find both that the waitresses are very helpful and that they will have something you will enjoy eating. Enjoy your meal!
I believe the owners are quite compassionate and will try to accommodate...The restaurant is not too large, the size of your service dog might be a problem...I would call
first and ask for Gus, the owner...Good luck...
