About
Wesley Campbell was born into the restaurant business as Mr. Campbell watched his parents cook various dishes. He observed them make dishes like steamed grouper, snapper, and jerk pork and chicken in their restaurants in Jamaica. The call to the culinary arts couldn't be ignored. At the age of fourteen, Campbell's love for cooking inspired him to enter a cooking competition where he astonished the judges with his sophisticated dish. This would set the stage for what would become a deliciously eventful career! Wesley began his first job at the Half Moon Resort in Jamaica where he peeled 5 bags of potatoes a day. With a drive for learning and through hard work, Wesley quickly acquired the skills

During a trip down in the area, we tried to eat at several establishments to celebrate a birthday but all had an extensive wait. So we decided to give this place a try and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was fantastic and the service...was very good. One waitress kinda blew us off but another one more than made up for it. She was sweet and kind. The coconut cake was delicious!More

At the recommendation of a “local” we met at another restaurant in Sebastian we visited the Mo Bay Grill on a Friday night. It was busy but not overwhelmed- at 5:00 there was no wait for a table. The wait staff was friendly and efficient,...and made excellent menu recommendations. The menu ranged from fresh seafood to steaks to sandwiches to a section of typical Jamaican fare, including curried goat. The goat was tempting, but as a Midwesterner I try to order seafood when I know its truly fresh. There are a number of gluten free items as well. The fried plantains were delicious- caramelized and sweet. My cobia was firm and perfectly cooked, and the accompanying sautéed spinach with onions and mango was terrific! My wife’s brown-butter grouper clearly had recently been swimming in the ocean- the side of mashed potatoes with spinach was well prepared. The desserts were excellent as well- deep dish Key Lime pie, and coconut pie (not coconut cream pie). A special treat on Friday was live entertainment- a young man playing steel pans as background music. He played classic pan tunes as well as covers of pop tunes. This really lent to the atmosphere, but was not loud enough to preclude conversation. Note that he ONLY plays on Fridays- when we returned Saturday night with our daughter and some friends from Melbourne he wasn’t there. Our Melbourne friends had never been there, and were very impressed. We’ll be back next time we’re in Vero!More

The Mo-Bay Grill has a Jamaican influence, but the chef is skilled in mainstream cooking, and even other cuisines. We came here on a Sunday, it was moderately busy and in fact was very slow...but the food is worth it....some of the most interesting, intense...flavors that i have encountered recently. I had shrimp pepper pot soup, which was great, but the star of the show was a whole, crispy fried snapper served with an Asian sauce of ginger, scallions and oyster sauce. The fish was fried in a curve, so that it was able to stand upright on the plate.....crispy and wonderful.....one of the best things i have eaten recently. My wife had a salad and a very good crab cake. Don't know it it always slow, but I bet it it is always good!More

The food was well prepared and tasty. The service was a bit slow but since we were having an enjoyable experience it did not affect our evening.

By far, my favorite spot in Sebastian! Getting to eat outdoors with the water views has been a real treat this past year. The conch fritters are so vividly spiced - just the perfect level of zing; fluffy insides, crispy outside. The fish fritters are...also great. The beef patty sandwich has the flakiest crust - to die for. Love the cucumber salad. The fried plantains. The ribs -- ask for spicy and they definitely pack a punch! Not painfully so, just on that top edge of wonderful pepper "wow." The sizzler platter is always great. And the owner and staff are incredibly positive and friendly. Just a great place all around!More

First time here and planned on jerk chicken. Waitress talked me into jerk ribeye. So amazing! You could cut it with a fork! The flavors just blend together. So delicious! The garlic mashed went great with the sauce and the veggies were good too!.

Even on a Monday! The chef walks thru to make sure you're doing great... the margaritas are perfect... and if you can hold out for the cheesecake ... do it! Many thanks for a great night!

Great Jamaican food that is tasty and not over bearing spicy or hot. Most people thing of 5 alarm hot... NOT SO! Very flavorful and tasty! Love the selection. The Coconut encrusted Snapper is our favorite! YUM! Very friendly staff and Wesley the owner comes...out and check and see how things are going and how your meal was. Great place to come to if you are in Sebastian.More
