I came here twice in October, 2019 and both times was unimpressed with the taste of the food. The first time was when I was driving down US1 and saw a lot of cars in the parking lot and thought that I will give it a try instead of the usual places that I ate. The décor is centered on authentic old-fashioned items inside and outside of the place. If I was just rating that then I would give it a 5. Unfortunately this review incudes the food. Having never been here before prompted me to ask the server what she would recommend. She was very nice and helpfully suggested the Meatloaf because it is "homemade and delicious." Heck, even The menu calls it "Grandma's homemade Meatloaf. am a huge fan of homemade meatloaf (it brings back find memories or my mom's) and along with ordering a couple of sides with it I was excited to try it. I'm not who's Grandma's recipe that it is but it didn't taste anything like what mine made. Even the presentation of it did not look homemade. It tasted very bland and could have used a good dose of sauce/ketchup or something other than their beef gravy to bring actual taste to it. Too bad because I was really looking forward to it. I had told my daughter that I was eating here and she looked forward to joining me when I described the décor. I held back on telling her about the food and decided to give the place another try and that I would order something different this time. She was as impressed with the pictures on the walls and the other items as I was. Sadly both of our meals fell into the no flavor zone like my first meal did. This time I got the open faced Roast Beef sandwich and my sides were a (very) small house salad and Cole slaw. Her lunch was a Patty Melt with fries and a Side salad, also. Side note: I can't understand why they do not have green beans, corn, or peas as a side. Anyway, when I asked her how her meal is she shrugged her shoulders and said, "meh." That is exactly my take on what I have ordered. It isn't that the food tastes bad, it's just that it didn't taste very good. My overall rating is a 3. That rating translates into, "meh."

Came in with a half hour until closing. Very welcoming and said our being late was no problem at all. Ordered fried oysters and the haddock dinner. Both were delicious. Oysters tender and with a wonderful light batter. Served with coleslaw which was very good as well. Haddock included two large tender and lightly breaded fillets served along with requested Italian wedding soup. Soup was right down the line traditional with little tender meatballs, etc. Great evening meal and a nice glass of wine and ice tea to accompany. Always a great choice for food.

Plus the chicken pies on Tuesdays. We love this place though getting a good housekeeping dusting must be a pain because of all the interesting memorabilia scattered throughout. We eat here often and are usually waited on by Mandi if she has a table free. You can make up your own order and are charged accordingly - which is the thing I like best about our breakfasts here. This really has become our go to place to eat in Sebastian. It never disappoints and the service, by Mandi particularly, is always excellent.

Today was our 2nd visit here in the last 3 months. Both visits were mid afternood when they were not very busy. Both times the service was horrible, waiting 10 plus minutes for a waitress to take our order. Today she seemed much more interested to stand near the kitchen and talk to her co-workers constantly while we waited for service. On the first visit the prime rib was cold and tough. Today the Philly Cheese Steak was runny and had american cheese instead of provolone. The taste was very bland. We won't be returning here again.

I guess if you serve very good food you will always draw a crowd. Thi doesn’t look like much from the outside but it is a locals go to establishment. Very reasonable prices and great home cooked food, what more could you ask? Portions are large and you never leave here hungry.

Had New York Strip Steak and it had a lot of fat on it, not much meat. Not worth $19.99...Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Meatloaf not too bad, big serving. Mac n Cheese had too much cheese sauce and the noodles were more like the wagon wheel pasta you can buy. For two people $50.00.

Last week we went on a Tuesday and we had the gumbo. OMG, it was so good and loaded with clams, mussel, shrimp, sausage, chicken. We went back the following Tuesday because we loved the gumbo. It was awful. It has 2 mussels, 2 tiny clams and 1 tiny crawfish. It was loaded with rice. $14.99 Inconsistancies can make or break a restaurant. My husband had the pot roast. It was a good but the portion was small. The mashed potatoes were salty. I was good if the price was $10.99 but the price was $17.99. Don't think we'll return as you can clearly get better food for less money elsewhere. Sorry it didn't work out because we really wanted to make this our go to restaurant based on our first experience. Signing off Sebastian Roadside.

We got it to go and the fried food just doesn't show up crispy. Not sure that's their fault. Menu is geared to the local clientele so liver and onions for example on the menu. Kind of like an ok diner but without too many menu options.

Family is visiting and six of us showed up for a late lunch. We were seated quickly and brought our drinks. Our orders included prime rib, burger, shrimp, redfish (they chose Cajun spice) and swordfish. We also had fresh warm bread with butter. Everything was very good and we left with very full bellies. Service was fast and friendly as well. Easy to find (right off of US 1) and plenty of parking.

This restaurant is doing some delicious dishes. For having such a wide variety of foods the chefs here really care about the food they put out from their kitchen. It is always so nice to find a place that has such love for the food they provide for their guests. Friendly service too!

For many years my family ate at Sebastian Roadside at least once a week. This was my first visit since before Covid-19. The menu has a large variety of sandwiches and meals to choose from. And although a small diner style restaurant, they have several very good seafood choices. Reasonably priced and good portions.

We’ve been wanting to try this place for months, it didn’t disappoint. The special menu was German. We all had something from the German menu. Everything was good, maybe the best potato pancakes I’ve ever had accompanied with applesauce with a great cinnamon taste. The atmosphere was a step back in time, old memorabilia and an old diner feel. The dear staff was fabulous. We’ll be back to sample another Special. Prices were extremely reasonable.

Had dinner here tonight and absolutely loved it. We had to wait an hour to get in, but it sure was worth it. The "all you can eat fish" was their special tonight and it was fabulous! One plate WAS all that I could eat. So much fish. And the onion rings were huge and fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will be back.

I was celebrating the fact that I will not face my MD's scale for another six months. I had French Onion Soup, Onion Rings, half a roast beef sandwich, and cole slaw. Everything was delicious. I asked for horseradish, not normally served with the beef, but made the sandwich prefect. The soup was way too delicious to be healthy. My wife had a great Chef Salad. The restaurant is quite large, but the atmosphere is that of a diner. There is a very broad menu and the staff is terrific. We have eaten there many times over the last ten years and the food has always been excellent. Don't miss it.
