Food fresh, veggies crisp, staff polite yet fun, atmosphere beachy but not dirty old. I'm going to make this my go to place for out of town guests as well as to run and catch a bite for myself.

First day on a short Space Coast vacation and searched for a local beach-type seafood focused restaurant. We stopped in Goombays around 6 on a rainy Friday and the place was hopping due to Happy Hour. Our party of 3 stood in the doorway for a while before a staff person finally said to just take a seat. Despite the... More

Goombays has recently reopened, and I for one think the remodel defiantly was much needed! The atmosphere was very welcoming both adults at the bar and family outside! The food was without a doubt ten times better! I will surely be back and bring more friends! Thanks to the girls and the manager that took the time in this busy... More

Recently retried the new Goombays. I was blown away by the food! My husband had the steamed shrimp and blackened mahi bowl, he raved! I had the tacos. The mahi and tuna were so fresh with the mango and pineapple salsa. We really enjoyed the new wine selection (the old selection was meh). Service was very friendly and fast. The... More

My go-to for seafood when I'm in town. Love the new menu! Service is sweet and attentive. Definitely worth giving this local favorite a try.

If you are prepared to wait for 30-45 minutes for not-so-friendly service before even getting to order then you have found the place. We have tried twice since they reopened and both times no one seems to care about the customers. The service staff socialize amongst themselves and we were an afterthought. It would be great of the very young... More

Goombay's has an excellent location right on A1A. They have outside and inside seating. Food was good but not anything out of the ordinary. Service was poor. There were two young ladies serving and tending to the bar. It seemed thay might even been cooking (not sure). Since we are senior citizens we did not fall in love with Goombays... More

Group of 6 previously loyal local customers but no more. Of the 6, 4 became very sick after eating tuna and shrimp screwers plus french fries. The food was once solid and this was "the place to go." Under new ownership the conch fritters were mushy inside, peas and rice severely overcooked, shrimp had no flavor like it had sat... More

Five of us went tonight for dinner in an effort to try something new. After waiting way too long for our food (with no explanation from our "couldn't care less" waitress and no drink refills during the wait) all five dinners arrived cold. Not just luke warm, but COLD. Not only that but the medium well burger was not even... More

The new owner may have redecorated, but are missing the wonderful light batter recipe on the shrimp, just to start, and no more hand cut fries! Can't taste the seafood because of the thick, No taste batter. Too bad they couldn't have kept the great old recipes. The decor is very beachy, and fun ,however if you sit near the... More
