Went to Curry Station for the first time last night. Excellent tender chicken tikka masala and Chag masala. Good service. Will definitely go back again

I had never tried Indian food before so I may not be a good judge of the quality of the food. I went to the lunch buffet to get a sampling of the types of dishes offered. The food could have been warmer though you can put the food on a heated dish. The staff was attentive.
We did the lunch buffet. The food was plentiful as was kept very warm. There was also a decent variety of choices as well. However the food didn't have much true to form Indian flavors and spices in my opinion. It was just ok. Not a place a would return to unless I needed a quick lunch.
Had dinner here recently; large restaurant, lots of staff, but terrible service and mediocre food. We have dined at other Indian restaurants in Sarasota but friends recommended the Curry Station. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to curry station. The staff was welcoming and the food was outstanding and reasonable. When our lamb dish unexpectedly had nuts in the sauce (my wife is allergic), the dish was promptly replaced.
I don't usually post negative reviews, but I felt disappointed and misled by the reviews on this site. This place is certainly not up to standards posted. The buffet was disappointing at best. At $11 each, the price was completely out of line with the offerings, which were gloppy and unappealing. The chai was tasteless.
I love Indian food & have been fortunate enough to have traveled all over India, so I think I know delicious & authentic Indian cuisine. Curry Station really was an unexpected delight. The food was totally yummy, clean and not overly gooey, salty or spicy. The chicken saag, onion kulcha, alou paratha was simply delicious. My friends tried chicken w/... More
After reading good reviews we opted to visit this place. Food quality was ok ok.... there is no real Indian food taste....I would suggest to check out other options also before visiting this restaurant. Next day I visited Flavours of India and fount it far better then this place. :)
Not as good as the original on Tamiami trail. Similar tasting ciurries, shoestring potato pakoras, one dessert. Also, they raised the buffet price to $10.99. Not bad, just not quite there.
