About as close to home cooking as you’ll get. I had the vegetarian omelet, my wife had chicken soup and the Greek salad, also at the table was French toast and spinach pie. Our group had some dietary problems which our waitress took note of and when the meals came, the orders were perfect. Depending on timing you might have to wait to be seated. Also the parking lot can fill up. Mentioning it so you won’t be surprised. Lots of menu options and all day breakfast items.

A great place to eat breakfast and lunch

Many specials available for lunch and breakfast. Food is well cooked and plentiful. Prices are also reasonable.

Home Cooking!

I love this friendly diner. So many upscale restaurants in this town and I miss diners with the taste of "days gone by." Always a board with great breakfast and dinner specials. Now that Oct.is here they are open for dinner Mon -Sat.

Delicious breakfast

Andy's crab cake eggs benedict was to die for! The homefries were perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got the corn beef hash, which he said was very good. Service was good. We will definitely return in the future.

Not sure about all the raves over Popi. It’s your very average diner style restaurant. Food is not particularly high quality or healthy. High fructose jams and artificial flavored syrup is what they use. Tons of sugar and butter in pancakes and French toast. If you’re health conscious you might want to skip this place.

great neighborhood restaurant

the specials at lunch can not be beat ! Food is well seasoned, fries are very good, portions are great----reminds me of a very good diner in Jersey. And, the food was hot ! loved it. Our waitstaff was friendly and very helpful. This is a hidden gem-----

Lousy service and terrible food

I went to this restaurant with my husband. I ordered chicken fried steak. It may have been chicken fried something but it wasn’t steak! I cut into the so called steak and found I was just cutting through the breading. The so called steak was just a mushy mess of something. I couldn’t eat it at all. It was to come with corn & potato along with a roll. I received the mashed potato & nothing else. The server never came to see how the food was or offer us more coffee after our first cup. My husband only ate a quarter of his food as it wasn’t good either. Certainly will not return.

Tastes like homemade

I like breakfast food and sometimes I like it at lunchtime. No problem at Popi’s Place. Had a very good vegetarian omelette, the Mrs. had a Greek omelet and my friend had a huge meatloaf, he took half of it home. I like their food, I enjoy the great service we get there and the prices are pain free. 2nd time there, I had the meatloaf, the Mrs had pancakes, our friends had lasagna and the other had ribs. All got great reviews.

Raving about breakfast

Popi's breakfast menu is along the lines of typical, but there is no substitute for a good cook. We had eggs over medium, pancakes and bacon, nothing fancy, but the eggs were exactly right, the bacon extra crispy as we asked, and the pancakes fluffy with tender-crispy edges. Prices are in line, decor not fancy but has a circus theme, and the wait staff FABULOUS, attentive without being annoying. The endless cup of coffee closed the deal as GOOD BREAKFAST.

We found this place on Tripadvisor our first day on vacation. It was such a treat! We went three times and had great food, service, conversation each time. Food is great, portions are big, servers are friendly and you are always asked if you want a drink to go.

Beats them all

There are a lot of great places to eat in Bradenton but this one beats them all. Their biscuits are fresh and made every day and are the size of your fist. The chicken with gravy on biscuits for breakfast will keep you full for three days. This stuff is kind and wonderful and a service is fast. You can't beat it and the prices are very reasonable.

Great food. Homemade. Great prices. The one on 17th is a bit dated but they're working on it. So for great food and a homey atmosphere, come to Popi's.
