The girls that lunch, 10 of us with reservations were accommodated in this small eclectic French restaurant. the owner was filled withe explanations and suggestions for ordering. A variety of items were ordered from tar tin's, peninnes, quiche,s and a huge salad with shrimp. everything was served with a small salad or choice of potatoes. Everything was delicious...It fills up... More

We had a pleasant dinner here another time, pre-theater, and decided to return to try their mussels. We have had these many times in France and occasionally make them at home. Wish I had done so, would have been more authentic & way tastier. For some reason they were floating in an oil broth with no taste of wine just... More

A bit of France in Sarasota. Small bistro type spot with good menu with better specials. Chef Tomas visited the table, veronique served us very well and very pleased with the food. Shared a dessert and enjoyed the whole experience dining outside as a sidewalk cafe in France. Great evening.

We have been to France three times since 1990 and have never had a "tartine". I had the duck "Dali" and French onion soup. Both were very flavorful and they did not leave room for dessert. My wife had the curry chicken tartine and the onion soup. The ambiance made me feel like I was in New York City. Give... More

I would say, about once a month or so i take a friend to eat here. it is 'off the beaten' path for most people visiting downtown sarasota, and is clearly in an 'up and coming' neighborhood. the service is always friendly, the same 2 gentlemen always greet us and take our order and cook the food. it is always... I had no idea what a Tartine was, but now I am a huge fan!!! My adult daughter and I had a lovely lunch at Lolita's, and we're absolutely charmed by the entire experience. There were so many choices that all sounded delicious! Darling restaurant and we will be back!!!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to have breakfast near our hotel on The Boulevard of the Arts in Sarasota. We stopped in to Lolita Tartine and felt as though we had landed in a neighborhood restaurant in Paris. We enjoyed our breakfast so much we returned twice for dinner during our stay. We enjoyed all the dishes... More

We really wanted to like this place. The physical space is cool and we love the use of artist's names to showcase the dishes. But the dinner was just average. We shared the Tartine Picasso, which we didn't enjoy and our french onion soup was just okay. We were most excited about the large cappuccino's, but they lacked flavor as... More

Charming place, charming owners, top flight food. Have not had anything but wonderful meals. The food is so delicious. Nothing like it on the west coast of Florida!
