Attended an early dinner group function over the weekend and found the food average at best. Friendly service couldn't overcome the cooking that just can't measure up to the many other Italian restaurants in the area. Heard the pizza is good. May try it if I decide to return.

What a delight! A lovely family-owned restaurant that's been in Sarasota for 29 years! The owner is a big Italian teddy bear who comes around and greets every visitor personally. So nice! His son, Liam, was our server and he couldn't have been better. The pizza and salad were delicious! They have an extensive menu, with virtually every Italian specialty... More

Primo's has been one of our favorite "to-go-to" date night, special occasion or meeting up with friends for over 20-yrs. . The salad & their handmade dressing always starts off a delicious dinner - my favorite dish was the Sophia Loren with fresh crabmeat, asparagus but any entree has never disappointed. .I always buy a bottle of the dressing to... We selected the restaurant tonight by just picking a point of interest on our GPS randomly. I am glad we did and that we discovered this spot. It was really nice inside, a lot more space than it would appear. The service was really excellent, the staff very friendly. We had an excellent family meal within a more than reasonable... More

We have not been here in quite awhile. We had a entertainment coupon so we decided to use it. The outside and inside look the same, the inside although clean could use alittle updating, parking lot has lots of pot holes but the food and service was very good. Crystal was our server she was very friendly, she explained that... More

Had wood fired pizza and Salad. It was nothing special. What irked me, was that I wanted an Imported (Italian) bottled beer. Menu offers Domestic and Imported. After several requests that the waiter came back to say they didn't have, it ends up they only had lousy Anheuser Busch selections. Really? In an Italian Restaurant? Very disappointing.

Great pizza. Fresh basil, sweet sauce but not too sweet. Meatballs were delicious. Service was attentive and quick. The only negative was the disgusting concoction of olive oil and "herbs" that you were supposed to dip the bread into... way too much oil and the herbs were like left over chicken marsala drippings. Gross! Use the salad dressing instead.

Everyone in the party(of 6) really enjoyed their food. Primo's does Italian right!. Nice crusty bread with an olive oil/herb infused dipping sauce starts things off. The menu is extensive as is the wine/drink list. We were well taken care of and the waiter came back numerous times to see if we needed more drinks, water etc.. Nice Italian atmosphere... More

We were tired and hungry after having spent the day at an amazing attraction in Sarasota. Recommended by one of the employees as her go to pizza places was Primo. I'm so glad we listened to her. The pizza was outstanding, as good as we have had back home, maybe better. Andrew our waiter was excellent, he made suggestions for... More
