I enjoyed a tasty chicken kebob. Not the usual, almost like it wasn't cooked on a skewer, but good, all the same. Service was excellent, with the pleasant waitress coming to check often to make sure everything was all right.

El Greco is an unassuming-looking restaurant, but out eating experience was really good! Really good traditional Greek food. Well prepared; well presented; excellent waitstaff; very reasonable prices. Give El Greco a try!

We went to this place for the first time on Sunday at about 3. We got right in due to the time. I usually just eat American food so I was ready to be let down. The Greek Pasta was excellent as was the lemon, chicken, rice soup. I left nothing. My wife had the chicken kabob which was also... More

It was our first visit to the town of Sarasota and we had no idea what to expect. But I wanted to see the “historic downtown” and we found it: a marvelously renovated area full of restaurants and shops, good for walking and a place where we were able to park relatively easily – and free for three hours, I... Pretty ordinary Greek. It's been around for years, but you can do better. Average at best. There are any number of restaurants in the same block that offer better value. Pass it by

This review reports on three excellent dishes: a grilled octopus appetizer, a spanakopita appetizer and a cheese Stromboli. El Greco is a long term popular restaurant, so the probability of other dishes being good is high. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly, with the proper texture, tender, but firm. The cheese Stromboli, smaller of the two sizes, was still large... More

Sat out side on a beautiful Sarasota day. Ordered my favorite Greek salad which has gyro meat on it. Very fresh and tasty. No complaints here.

All food was delicious. Salad, grilled salmon over greek rice and salad and bread on the side. IT was one of the best restaurant meals i ever ate. The pork souvlaki was bland, not seasoned enough. I am sure it's a little different each time as home made food is usually not measured. Best deal you'll get for a fish... More
