last 2 orders the pizza qas not exceptional. the one o rdered today was cooked prfectly. unfortunately the sauce just didn't taste as good as previous the young lady taking order was very welcoming and nice on the phone. also the sausage on the pie was almost non existing. too bad so sad and the there was a briny salty type taste with the vegetables? i'm sure they will check into this and i will be wiling to try again. hopefully after they see this they can do some quality control. he 4 stars is because normally they are deserving God Bless everyone and happy thanksgiving

The people are very nice but the food is only average

The people were very nice and we sampled a large variety of items including pizza, spaghetti, breadsticks, and other items. The pizza crust was good, but everything, especially the spaghetti lack fine flavor or any special. But the whole staff was so nice -- I just wish the food had more taste!

Hey Doc and Sugar Bear! Thank you for trying us out. We do offer a very simple delicious marinara focusing on the good tomatoes and fresh basil we use. It's not for everyone but many do enjoy. Pretty good pizza

We are staying on Seista Key, so Rico"s is close by. It is a small place, not much seating so unless you really want your pizza hot out of the oven, take out probably is better. We ordered a Margherita and a cheese pizza and both were tasty but I preferred the Margherita although a bit skimpy on the tomatoes. I like thin pizza but although I know I am splitting hairs, it was a bit thinner than I would like it. However, I would go back. Hard to find a good pizza in sarasota when compared to pizza up north in NY, NJ or Conneciticut.

When they are good, they are very good, but when they are bad, they are terrible

We've ordered from Rico's off and on for 20 years and the biggest problem that drives us away for year at a time is their inconsistency. Sometimes we get delicious food, and other times it goes right into the trash can because it's so bad. There is no quality control at all and they often screw up orders. Sorry Ricos, but the last order was our final order. The calzone was leather wrapped around a squishy, gooey mess that squirted out with each bite, our last pizza was a limp, greasy and tasteless mess on a crust so tough we couldn't bite through it. That was it, we're out. No more Rico's for us.

Good Pizza

Called in an order for delivery at our condo in Siesta Key. The lady on the phone was very pleasant. Pizza was delivered within 35 mins on a Saturday evening. Delivery driver was extremely friendly, and pizza was delicious. I did try to place the order online prior to calling it in, but the system continuously malfunctioned.

Much more than Great Cheese Pizza. How about Fried Eggplant or Baked Ziti?

Our first time visit turned into 3 visits in one week. I love the smell of pizza dough baking in the oven and Rico's on Gulfgate is just the place. I couldn't pass up the $6 Fried Eggplant app. It was crispy and delicious served their marinara. Ask for a little on the side because It's good. We had a large cheese pizza which reminded me of excellent NJ Pizza. The baked ziti with Italian sausage and the Italian sausage sandwich with grilled peppers and onions were also winners. Good prices too.

Garbage Disposal

Picked up 2 pizzas and garlic knots. The garlic knock had SO much grease it was like they were deep fried and the oil was rancid. Pizza's after 1 piece when into the garbage disposal. I have never done that with pizza. This I did!.

Dm, thank you for trying us out! Not quite sure what happened as we did not get a phone call about anything like this. We can't really solve issues here. We do have a full refund policy if you call us back when issues arise. And yes, issues do arise, we learn, we teach and hopefully we get better from them. Pizza done right

Making pizza is not rocket science - but Rico's does a really good job. Where they stand out above other nearby establishments is in customer service. Basically - Good pizza and good people. I will continue to come back.

Must Have Siesta Key Pizza

2nd time going here. 1st time was carry out in 2020, but tonight we stopped in and thankfully they were having a slow evening in their dining room as we had a party of 14. They welcomed us with open arms. Extremely kid friendly. Waitress named “ICE” was patient, quick to serve, and great with the kids. The food was amazing. YOU MUST GO HERE.

Seriously delicious lasagna & chicken parm. Comes with salad & Italian bread.. enough for 2 meals!! Also got garlic knots ( omg!!! Beyond expectations good!!!) DID take time 1+ hr BUT well worth it) Am vacationing here & I will be back. Delivery driver was very sweet.

Great Gluten Free options. Definitely, a spot to grab a slice or sit down for the entire pie. High review on the arugula salad. Soooo satisfying!! Stop on to a friendly and attentive staff.

Best pizza in FL

Great value, large portion sizes, tasty foods, friendly staff, and quick service! We can split a takeout order of lasagna and salad and be pleasantly full. Pizza is served hot and crispy!
