This is a very busy place at lunch time and you may want to select a table outside rather than inside where it can be hectic. The food is excellent particularly their crepes (the "forestière" is my favorite) and the quiches ( try the leek and cheese one). Whatever you choose, don't leave without indulging in one of their French... More

We ate here a couple of times while holidaying in Sarasota. The breakfasts are very good indeed. Excellent crepes and very good cakes

I would normally say this is not my type of restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. We visited C'est la Vie with friends of ours in Sarasota- this is one of their favourite restaurants and they visit it often. Perhaps I am too picky but I was not really intrigued with much of the menu. I ended up with a... More

So, lets get the negative out of the way. The service is slow and sometimes not the friendliest. I chalk this down to the restaurants authentic "frenchness." The food is wonderful. Even down to a simple baguette with butter and jams. Fresh baked bread and beautiful pastries.. I mean beautiful pastries… available to take home or enjoy there. I love... More

I love coming to C'est la Vie because it is a little "home" away from home. (I'm from Paris, France). This is where I buy my baguettes almost everyday, and often have lunch and breakfast. Pastries are very good and everything is french! I really recommend it.

Had lunch here, food was amazing. Good size portions and they were happy for us to split food with no extra charge. Pastries looked wonderful though didn't have one, would definitely return. Slightly unusual waitress service but added to the charm.

Authentic French bakery, by French pastry chefs in a tiny spot on Main St. The best croissants I have ever tasted, apricot twists to die for and a good, overall breakfast menu makes this quaint spot the best stop for a morning snack or meal in the area!

We had a very nice, relaxing brunch sat outside. Friendly (French) staff, yummy Croque Madame and Crepes!

I have to have brunch here everytime I am in Sarasota. The bread and pastries are amazing and for me they have the best almond croissants I have ever eaten anywhere ouside of Paris. Big menu, lovely pastries and sweets, French waiters!
