Food was good, but the service was so bad that even when I asked for service, I was ignored.....staff that day were very stuffy

Nice little place for coffee, pastry and other good food in the AM. Will be glad when the new store opens in the University Park, Lakewood Ranch area.

We enjoy C'est La Vie for breakfast or lunch. Their breads are good and the food is as well. We usually buy the bread for home and don't eat there.

We've had many bakery items here and never been disappointed. The almond croissant is excellent. The pistachio tart is also good but not the best thing I've gotten here. All the items have been buttery, flaky, and not overly sweet. We had lunch there for the first time and found the food to be good but not outstanding. Serving sizes... More

I love having lunch outside and people watching, We usually split a sandwich (pate my favorite) and then lingering over dessert.

I visit my mom from New Jersey every year and we always come here for their freshly baked pastries and delicious sandwiches on baguettes. You have to come pretty early or else they run out of pastries and it's harder to find parking. They're usually packed and they do get pretty busy so sometimes you have to wait a little... More

Cafe au lait, salads, sandwiches, pastries....EVERYTHING is wonderful. Such a sweet little restaurant. I've read many reviews about staff being rude but we've been many times and they are always wonderful and so french. If you're pleasant so are they! The menu is extensive which surely makes it hard to choose but we have never had anything we didn't entirely... More

I don't get here often enough! Sadly, I usually try to avoid downtown because of traffic and parking hassles. However, July is a great time to go downtown and park convenient to everything. They have a lovely outside seating area which is popular the rest of the year. Little too hot for us today. The food is all good. I... More

Consistently good food with French breads and pastries. Perfect place for breakfast on Saturdays after walking through the Sarasota Market. Good coffee!

The American breakfast tasted great. The coffee was strong and smooth and I would come here just for it. Decor reminded me of Paris.
