Tables outside as you walk up the sidewalk in St Armand's Circle; tables inside about as far as you can see. All the doors and windows open out to the beautiful Florida spring day. It's noisy, it's busy, it's fun. Try the Sangria Blanco, which they mix up by the pitcher right at your table, using their own branded Sauvignon... More

Located right on Saint Armand's Circle, Columbia is a fabulous restaurant. There's something for everyone and the large salad is particularly great with or without turkey or shrimp. Call ahead and ask for a table on the ring which means outside on the restaurant side by the sidewalk. We ate outside on a warm March night and it was a... More

I will start by saying I am a little biased. Since I am Cuban, I have pretty high standards for cuban food. I highly recommend making a reservation, as this place is ALWAYS packed. Although not the original Columbia (which is in Ybor city -about an hour and a half north of the St Armands location) the atmosphere is the... More

We went for dinner with friends and every sip/bite was better than the next. The sangria is a must, stone crabs were amazing, 1905 salad and paella, Delicious!!!!! You will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is huge! But despite the size, service was top notch and the food was excellent. You must have the salad made at table side (bought 4 bottles of their salad dressing to take home). Huge menu, excellent food.Cocktail prices are high...but they are everywhere on the Island.

You can not go to St Armand's and not go to this place. People are lined up to eat at 10:00 at night. Staff is out of this world, Food is the best. Fish , pork, steak, chicken every time we come it is better than before. Order a great bottle of wine and take your time and enjoy.

We had heard that this was a must for our visit to Lido Key. It seems like this restaurant runs on reputation rather than service. They may have been good at one time, but now very marginal. After waiting for over 30 minutes for sangria, we were served the wrong order. Our waiter gave the worst service ever. Food that... More

We have been dining at The Columbia at St Armands for many years and have yet to be disappointed. Even though they always busy, the service is prompt and professional. The Spanish-Cuban cuisine has always been excellent. They are famous for their salad and tasty tapas. A classy place!

It was very busy for lunch, but we're able to get a table inside for 2 immediately. An outside table would've been a long wait. We were waited on fairly quickly. The noise level in the restaurant is high. Our waitress was attentive and was always there before our water or ice tea glasses got low. We had the MOJO... More

I guess I should have known better than to order a 1905 salad... in 2017! I got just what it said I would: iceberg lettuce, ham and cheese, a couple of olives and tomatoes. Who even eats iceberg any more?! I even joked with the waiter there were no vegetables in the salad! I kept thinking the sum of the... More

Thank you for choosing to dine with us. There are 2 reasons we use Iceberg lettuce in our signature “1905” Salad…Crunch, and history! There is simply no other lettuce that provides the satisfying crunch you get from biting into it. And…history. Columbia Restaurant in Sarasota is a sister restaurant to our flagship location in Tampa’s historic Ybor City, Florida’s oldest... More

Family-owned and operated for over 111 years, Columbia has earned acclaim for its old-world charm and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men. Join us for century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Filet Mignon "Columbia," and fresh seafood specialties. Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 100-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Be sure to sample a fine Spanish wine like Torres, Montecillo or Campillo. Relax outdoors on our patio, or inside our Mediterranean-style dining rooms filled with hand-painted tiles and family heirlooms. We are a sister to the Columbia in Tampa's Ybor City, founded in 1905. Children's menu available. Open 365-days a year, including all holidays.
