Arrived on time for a 6 pm reservation and it took 20 minutes for the waiter to even take our order. He was totally distracted and kept walking away. It took an hour to get our appetizer and we had to leave before the entrees...ever showed up. Complaining to manager was pointless as he claimed they were busy (not true, the place was half empty when we arrived). Attempts to flag down waiter in the interim were fruitless. Avoid this place; it’s overrated and overpriced for terrible service!More

Our waiter was really great but the host who seated us was arrogant. The food was salty so it’s a 3.5-4 star even though the restaurant is full and lively, there’s not a lot Italian options so it presents itself like it is higher rated...than it is.More

We went for dinner Saturday evening. We live in the area but it's season so the place was packed. We had a reservation though and were seated promptly. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Food was excellent - appetizers, entrees and deserts (house made -...and the zabaglione with strawberries was truly outstanding).More

Everything we ordered was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly, the sauces were just enough to add to the flavor and never over power it. And the service was top notch. If you go, make sure you order the meatballs appetizer. They were the best...meatballs we have ever had.More

So I’m not the type to post often. Rather, I need to be inspired by something about the experience....sometimes it’s the great food and other times a bad, (obnoxious) server or poorly made mixed drinks . This dinner captured all of these. The food truly...was excellent and hot. But, who can really enjoy the food if your server is flippant, tense, inattentive.....and it was a Tuesday and the place was not super busy! I suggest they retrain staff or shift to a “take out” joint.More

We have family visiting from MN & MO and decided to come here for dinner after the sunset dinner cruise. We just this place as we walked down Main Street. There were 8 in our party and each one of us ordered something different and...we all enjoyed what we ordered: mushroom stuff ravioli, gnocchi, duck, salmon, fried sausage, pesto penne with chicken, black squid pasta w/salmon, clams & linguini. It was all delicious. Our server, Jason, was great - he was very attentive and lots of fun. We will definitely return.More

We had a relaxed dinner and our waiter was super funny and friendly! The food was delicious (burrata and mozzarella as starters, veil chop as main). We can only recommend it!

We enjoyed the grilled octopus special. The house Italian red was good. The ravioli was a small portion. The spaghetti bolognese was the best with largest portion and lowest price. We got extra bread and the bread was excellent!

We made a reservation through open table . Arrived right on time. Host: “Your table will be ready in 10 to 20 minutes. Do you want to sit at the bar?” “No thank you, we wanted a table that’s why we made a reservation”. I...told him that we did have reservation for theater at FST and wanted to be sure we would be on time. We were seated at another table a short time later, but “You only get one chance to make a first impression” resonated. First impression was that our reservation was not valued. Had coupon for glass of wine from FST. “If you use the coupon you cannot have your open table points.” OK Our impression: “you really don’t care if we ever come back”. Both entres were pretty good, but there are better Italian places in Sarasota. Waitress was excellent and attentive, but never gave us her name. Summary: a TA 1 for attitude. A TA 3 for food. A TA 4.5 for the waitress. Recommendation: we live in Sarasota and own income property so we eat out often and make recommendations to our renters. Amici will not be on our “we will be back” or recommended list in our condos.More
