Elegant, modern clean welcoming restaurant. Food was pricy and fancy. Atmosphere was wonderful with views of a small harbor. Unfortunately a group of SMU drunks at the next table were over 150 dbls. We moved as soon as we could. Waitress was gruff, I guess...because of the LOUD table.More

Great service, good food, great decor, good harbor views, nit the best filet I’ve ever had, a bit expensive for what you get since its in the ritz.

Great service, convenience and ambiance overlooking the bay and pool at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. Food was very good but lacking the extraordinary flavors expected for the price. Offers heated outdoor seating as well.

I rarely eat in hotel restaurants. I am very pleased that Jack Dusty was an exception. To start with, it doesn't feel at all like a hotel restaurant, looking out from a splendid (roughly half covered) patio over a small marina. While we were there,...all Covid protocols were followed precisely from what we could tell. The food was superb. High quality ingredients, succulent taste combinations, and an innovative menu without being "creative" for creativity's sake. The portions were quite generous. The service was everything that you would hope for at a classy, but clearly not snobby, establishment. Friendly, highly knowledgeable in responding to detailed questions, attentive. I was also pleased, all things considered, at the prices which I thought represented a very fair value for everything we experienced.More

You know you're going to pay for it (literally) since you're eating at the Ritz. The food was ok, but not $$$ worthy. They had great, distanced outdoor tables which we felt good at. I was VERY surprised with how crowded the inside bar was...(and that they allowed that). Many people (not the waiters) were walking around without faces which I didn't love. The bread at the beginning was absolutely delicious (they bake it in a can) with the rum butter. Appetizer was calamari which was quite good. We all had the fish special which was a white fish over a turnip puree, but had no vegetables. I had the Blue on Blue cocktail was great and not too sweet. BUT AGAIN, not worth the price tag of the receipt.More

I’m generally not a fan of hotel Restaurants. However, Jack Dusty is an exception! It is truly a fine dining establishment with fresh seafood and wonderful hand crafted cocktails. The service is top notch, from the display of bread (with an explanation of how Jack...Dusty got its name) to the last refill of coffee. We sampled several of the hand crafted cocktails. They were exquisite and the bartender did not skimp on the alcohol. If you like rum, there are 37 different ones to try! The pan seared scallops were large and fresh. The grouper was also quite fresh and tasty. The chef will gladly switch side dishes if you wish. I tried a bowl of split pea and turkey soup that was filling enough to be a meal. The prices here are steep, but Jack Dusty is in the Ritz Carlton, so you expect to pay more. Don’t be surprised to pay $30-$50 for entrees. Finally, the tables were wonderfully spaced to put diners at ease from coronavirus. Give it a shot. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.More

We had wine and appetizers here during our stay. Service was excellent, and the manager Rachel was wonderful. We sat outside, and the view was fantastic. Really appreciated that everyone was socially distanced. I wish I could remember the name of the wine we had...that Rachel recommended, because it was fantastic. Will definitely be back!More

As an avid luxury traveler this was one of the best resort restaurants I have experienced! First there is the view- gorgeous ambiance overlooking the pool, gardens and bay! Even when it started raining one of our nights it was still so neat to see!...Then the food itself was wonderful. The complimentary bread was DELICIOUS, the siren and smoked painkiller cocktails were superb and the meals! My favorite was the seafood cioppino. The sauce was to die for- very filling And flavorful yet still being a lighter healthy dish. The ceviche appetizer was delicious as well! Our first and third night’s server Lyle at Jack Dustys was so informative and personable! He even recommended a few local activities and spots for the nights that we wanted to eat off property that were superb! Brunch was also a great experience! The veggie omelet with goat cheese was delish! All in all a fabulous resort! Will definitely be coming back soon!More

While staying at the ritz where the restaurant is located I enjoyed lunch here. Staff was more than attentive addressing you by name and ensuring your order is perfect. I only wish the menu had some more options

Thank you for the info. I am a bit hesitant. I will check out the new menu. It can't be any worse then what it was. Such a shame to have served such mediocre food and menu in such a beautiful setting.

You will see casual to semi-formal depending on what's going on there that day. I went on a day they had a dance contest and there were gowns everywhere. So cool. When I go I see lots of casual pants, cute tops, some sexy... More
