After dinner with my wonderful wife, I thought icecream would be a great way to end the evening. Even when full she is always up for ice cream. Best cookie and cream we have ever had.

We tried the ice cream here the first night we were in Siesta Key and, "WOW!" is all we can say. Salted caramel is there best seller according to the worker. We got that and a Kentucky Honey Bourbon. Ice cream isn't the first thing I think of when pairing bourbon, but this stuff is amazing. We are planning a... More

We decided to entertain our grandchildren by comparing 10 ice cream shops using several criteria . Then we graphed the results. The Orange Octopus won in every category . Their ice cream is home made. It's flavors are delicious !

We first visited The Orange Octopus during a 2015 trip to Sarasota. We were hooked on the iced coffee at first sip and starting making daily trips for it. (Added bonus: They throw in a few frozen coffee ice cubes, so the coffee doesn't get watered down.) We really didn't intend to try the ice cream, but during one visit... More

I had heard that the ice cream was great but I wasn't prepared for how good! The sea salt caramel was perfect - the right amount of salt and caramel. I also had a bourbon honey with nuts which was very tasty. The ice cream is made in the store and is soft and creamy. Hot fudge is delicious! The... More

For years, the Orange Octopus and its predecessors at 1220 Old Stickney Point Road on Siesta Key have been a must stop for my wife and I after a day on the beach or shopping or anytime we are lusting for ice cream or smoothies. There are a lot of ice cream parlors in Sarasota, as you would expect, but... More

We are staying on Crescent beach, making this an extremely convenient location for us to get ice cream. The ice cream is always delicious and the service is wonderful. Anyone that is staying close should stop in!

This old fashioned, family owned coffee and ice cream shop is located in Captain Curt's Village a few hundred yards south of the Stickney point (south bridge). It is beside the bike and kayak rental shop. They are super friendly and have a gourmet coffee bar, 24 flavors of hand churned, homemade ice cream. It is my favorite local coffee shop! I've never left disappointed.
