A wide variety of gourmet treats, but check where they are sourced from.

We found Ossetra caviar (not golden) but it was from Israel, not Russia. The prices are reasonable, but that is because the products are not top of the line. For the most part, the same seemed to be true of the wines and cheeses. The bakery was a disappointment, too. Things looked very pretty but were not particularly flavorful. Also, the "anise biscotti" were really just big slabs of unfrosted dryish cake, nothing like authentic Italian anise biscotti. The sanwiches were decent, and we have not yet tried the soups. However, from what we have seen and tasted, there is a wide variety of products, but on the whole they are second-tier.So, it's decent and fine for lunch but shop elsewhere for the best quality products.

The Best Food We’ve Had on the Island

On our fourth day on Siesta Key, we went to Morton’s. My wife bought the prepared grouper, I had a turkey BLT club, and we had a spinach butternut squash salad. Everything was sensational. We also bought two pieces of Keylime pie. My wife said that her piece was perfect, but I thought mine was a bit too limey. When we come back to Siesta Key next year, Morton’s will be an early stop.

Gourmet yet not unreasonably priced

What a wonderful place. The coffee and pastries are delicious. If you want a nice piece of pizza for a quick lunch it is very good. Everything very high end. Maybe a little pricey but so worth it. Will not disappoint!

Appalling Customer Service - AGAIN!!

Once again Mortons on Osprey have excelled themselves in providing the WORST customer service!! My family have been customers for 25 years but Mortons continue to let themselves down. It was my birthday and we stopped by at 18:45 today for some deli items including 2 small crabcakes at $28, I wanted 2 slices of carrot cake but the patisserie refused my request even though there were 2 whole cakes on display. The reason given was that neither cake had been cut into slices!!! I told the gentleman who "served" me that I always came in for 2 slices but he reiterated his point. The Deli counter told me to speak to the Service Desk which I did; they called through to the patisserie but were told that no-one could cut the carrot cake and so I could not purchase 2 slices! Yes, this really happened! It is scarcely believable but Mortons' staff believe they are invincible and have absolutely no regard for their customers, least of all those who have been faithful for 25 years! Where is the management when you need it? Not visible this evening. Truly appalling!!

Deplorable customer service!

Visited Morton’s Gourmet Market on a Friday afternoon excited to browse through their gourmet foods. The employees seemed very disinterested in helping us. I wanted to taste some of the prepared salads to purchase one to go with our dinner. the lady who waited on us seemed very put out when I requested several samples. On the third and last sample, she gave me what amounted to 4 grains of rice. Meat counter experience was not much better and the gentleman seemed put out by our inquiries. No one in the store was friendly or helpful. When we went to pay, the cashier asked if we had a reward number and we said no. She made no eye contact and was not friendly at all. I was taken aback by the vibe I received from the store personnel and will never return. The crostini I bought , however, was very good.

High quality + high prices...

This well established market in downtown Sarasota has superb meat, bakery, and deli items. They have great bagels and rugelach. They sell small portions of razor thin slices of nova. Go to Publix for the main stuff, then here to buy the fun and delicious stuff. Free parking on side and back of building. There is another location on Siesta Key, which is more of a general market or mini grocery store.

I use Morton's Market as my refridgerator!

I purchase whatever I want to make for dinner almost daily, and even more. This is where I do most of my grocery shopping. I love finding new & exciting gourmet items. The prepared meals are fun... I like to create different menus with them. The bakery is great with totally fesh fresh breads & special desserts. My butchers are awesome! Meanwhile the staff treats me more like family l than a customer when I see them.

Excellent market for shopping speciality items, short drive from siesta key. Would have given 5 stars if not for being stalked & confronted by the Parking nazi when we decided to walk the block after making our purchases & not directly returning to our car.i had purchased frozen cheesecake & cold cheese in my bag & promised him we were only going to cross the road & walk back to our car on the other side of the road. I understand the need to protect valuable parking but he was very aggressive.

Cool place to shop

Wife and I found this place. Great variety of foods and cheeses. Fresh cookies and pastries. Great tasting freshly made pizza. Plenty of prepared meals to go. Great selection of meats and fish. If I lived here would be here once or twice a week!!

I could not believe my eyes when I saw how huge this place had gotten. I had not been here in many years, and it now occupies a whole city block! Inside you can find just about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING your heart desires, be it food, drink or what not. Service very friendly Highly recommend!

Visited this high end specialty market while on a trip to Sarasota. Excellent choices of a variety of foods, meals, specialty groceries and bakery treats. Only disappointment was that there were no available meals like lasagna, manicotti, etc., to purchase for a larger number than two servings unless preordered. That being said, I was able to get some chicken parmigiana to use for part of a meal and it was delicious!

Love this place they have it all! The cheese counter is my favorite and sometimes if you are lucky they even put out samples! They have 4 chicken salads they are all super delish and even sell some amazing authentic Jewish staples like latkes and kugel!!

This is a first class Deli with an incredible operation. Every section of this facility is amazing from the butcher case to the bakery and coffee shop. Truly unique and worth the visit. We will gladly return.

Aside from the wonderful high-end groceries, stupendous daily soups and fully prepared meals, very popular in this town. Great bakery, definitive wine, fantastic deli counter, and a meat counter to write home about.
