Restaurant is in new artsy downtown neighborhood. It is a small house with intimate dining in several original rooms. Outdoor candle lit dining is also available. Service is helpful and very knowledgeable. Menu is small but changes every two weeks. All items were delicious interesting and extremely well prepared. This is the best restaurant in Sarasota I have found.... a... More

The fact that Indigenous is in a refurbished house makes the atmosphere cozy. Background music very pleasant. Informal, good service. Not as expensive as we were lead to believe. The wild mushroom bisque was rich and flavorful. They make a savory begniet as an appetizer that any couple could split. Which you should do lest you fill up too fast.... More

As a vegetarian, I was provided with a variety of delicious options - everything was top-notch. Great for a nice evening out.

I had booked a table here after reading TripAdvisor reviews. Our hotel concierge said it will be an eclectic and interesting meal. This comment gave me pause however, we were so delighted to eat at Indigenous we wanted to go back the next evening. The flavors were so present and cohesive in each dish. Salads, pork belly and two different... More

We had a table for four, with one being vegetarian, one anti-vegetable, one anti-seafood, and one omnivore (me). Fortunately, the small menu was able to accommodate all of us. Before dinner, they gave us a very small dish of cheese crisps, one crisp for each of us. No bread. I had the cobia special, which was tasty but also a... More

We had dinner last night with another couple. The food and service were just fabulous. We ate outside in a lovely environment. The fresh seafood was cooked to perfection. All dishes were creative and with lots of different flavors. There is probably not a better culinary team in sarasota. We will be back soon.

We have been here many times and loved it always. Tonight we got the impression all the staff was "getting through" tonight so they could enjoy their thanksgiving holiday tomorrow. Not the best atmosphere. Won't be rushing back.

Were there with a couple of friends 2 days ago for dinner. We had read a number of very favorable critics on this restaurant. We were blown away by the creative "out the box" menu, the quality and freshness of the ingredients, the presentation snd the outstanding service. This is in our opinion one of the best restaurant in Sarasota.... More

Not the easiest place to find. Not very big. The wine list is longer than the menu. Hours 5:30 to 9:30 only. Sound iffy? Be not fooled, my friend. The service was excellent and suited your time frame and needs. Beverages very good. Local beers on tap. HOT delicious coffee. Lovely wines. Food was unique, plentiful, appropriate temperatures, and unbelievably... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful dinner here tonight! This chef is a rock star in the kitchen! He combines delicate flavors to create culinary perfection! We are foodies & truly appreciate delicious food. The care put into each plate is more than evident. Beignets are amazing- savory clouds of happiness! The pork belly melts in your mouth. The...
