About
Reyna’s Taqueria is a locally-owned and operated, traditional Mexican restaurant. We use fresh, local ingredients. Our recipes were handed down from generation to generation (actually at least three generations) and we are fortunate to have learned them from cooking side-by-side with Mexico’s best chef, our Mother Doña Reyna, as she is known in the small town of Matamoros Puebla. After years of making her recipes for our friends and enjoying hand pressed tortillas, muchas salsas, and fresh ingredients - and yes - muchas Sangrias too, our friends encouraged us to share these dishes with the rest of the world and make mom proud. We want to continue the tradition. The time is right, there is no

We were looking for a place to eat. Not knowing the area, Google listed Reyna’s Taqueria as an option. The food was excellent, the service was great, and there were good social distancing opportunities within the restaurant. We’re so glad we happened upon Reyna’s.

We found this restaurant using Waze because we are unfamiliar with the area. I ordered the chicken taco and a pastor taco. Jimbo had 2 steak tacos. The chips and guacamole are out of this world. This meal tasted like we were in Puerto Vallarta...again! Dine in options or patio seating available. Highly recommendMore

Excellent destination for tasty, generously filled tacos. Invariably fresh and tasty. Super nice service. In addition to tacos with multiple choices of fillings also serves tostadas, burritos, guacamole, etc.

Delicious lunch with family. Staff helpful in explaining menu items & making recommendations. Guacamole was fresh & a generous portion. Order at counter & served at table. Beer & Sangria available. Extra chips - no fee! Will definitely return. 5 miles from 75!

Great place, and more so if you have Cash, they give a 4% discount up-front for $$. Now to the food. Best Mexican in town, actually best North or South of town. Excellent guacamole, chunky and lots of it. Decor is plain but one thing...I always check on, the bathroom was immaculate, including the fixtures, suggesting, to me at least, that the standards in the kitchen are equally high. I have one suggestion, that they consider hosting cooking classes. Cremesh does them up in Bradenton for European fare, charge $39 for a late Saturday morning session including lunch and beer and wine, and they have a waiting list, very popular. .More

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Reyna's Taqueria. Food is cooked to order with quality fresh ingredients, It is filling but not heavy. One of us has a sope and the other a taco, with a side of refried beans. Both were beautifully cooked. The...restaurant seating/layout looks a bit like a fast food restaurant when you enter, but by the time you have been there for a few minutes you realize you are in a family run restaurant where care is taken with the food and the customer experience. it was our first time and we ordered from the menu on the wall--there is a printed menu that would have been easier for a first time. Items are ordered individually so you can put together exactly the amount and type of food you want. Loved having glasses and silverware rather than disposables. Food is served on a lined metal tray which works fine. We look forward to going back often for a quick lunch.More

Found this little gem by googling Mexican restaurants in the Sarasota area. And oh my goodness was it a great find! You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. My wife and I had the sope with shrimp, pastor taco...and a fish taco. We started with the guacamole and chips along with a margarita! So good. Everything was fresh and made to order. After we were done the owner came by to thank us and we thanked him!!! I highly recommend !!!More
