After a visit to the great Selby Gardens' Dali show drove to Main St for lunch at Drunken Poet Cafe. Had delightful dinner visit there months ago with family. The lunch menu featured a two sushi rolls for 10.95. Chose 1 with eel and the other with salmon skin, both delicious. Followed with two different crispy duck padang choices, again both very good. Main dishes came with small portion of chicken rice soup. Thai ice tea and a thai beer covered the beverage need. Service was quick and efficient. Reservations suggested for dinner, particularly in season.

As soon as we got in, we had our reservation waiting for us. The owner, Oy, introduced herself gently and took care of us. We asked for 2 different Thai soups, one coconut, with chicken and mushrooms, and the other was was tomatoes, mushroom, shrimp and an amazing clear broth. Entrees we're, a pad Thai with shrimp, generous portion, lots of bean sprouts and spiced the way we ordered. We also ordered s Lady lavender roll, with tuna, avocado, cooked eel. Perfectly done. A place to recommend on main street, surounded by free parking areas and great shops.

Crispy Duck with Tamarind sauce and Pineapple Fried Rice were as different as you get and very good. The service was nice as we about had the place to ourselves on a Sunday evening. The miso was not bad and tempura shrimp great. The experience was intimate and pleasurable.

Really sad when you spend your hard earned money, leave a tip (because I ordered online and there was an option) just to be majorly disappointed in customer service and taste. Placed an online order through the website which directs you to Chow Now. My husband went to pick up the food and they would not give him the order, even though he had the confirmation number. He had to wait and barter with them to finally give him the food after 20 minutes of waiting, while our food was sitting on the counter right in front of him. The food was not good and we salvaged what we could, but had to throw the rest away. We will not be returning.

The food was nice enough, but weirdly expensive ($20 for pad thai to eat by the side of the road?), with a number of hidden surprise costs. My elderly grandmother asked for “an inexpensive glass of white wine” and they charged her $16 — when the entire mediocre bottle retails for less than $15! The coconut milk that came with the dessert had gone bad so we asked for another tiny ramekin of coconut milk to replace it, which they nicely brought — without telling us they would charge us $2 extra for the additional two tablespoons of coconut milk (which, incidentally, had also gone bad). Overall, the food is decent, but not worth the price, and the extra costs kind of soured the experience.

The service was slow but very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was extremely overpriced for what you get. A $20 entree was half white rice and a small serving of actual stir fry. The sushi rolls came with 8 pieces that were only slightly bigger than the size of a quarter and $8-9 each. That’s normal when you have a large roll but these were tiny. Tasted good and if you’re willing to buy 4 rolls per person, you might get a meal. Disappointed. Bad value.

Overpriced. We were extremely disappointed with the restaurant. The waitress informed us that we will be dinner menu prices as there wasn’t any lunch menu. So we ordered 2 sushi rolls. They were very small, yet we were charged dinner prices. Not coming back again, most definitely.

We arrived right around 2pm for lunch. They have electronic menus and as we were searching the lunch menu it suddenly disappeared. Now a simple tofu or chicken stir fry was $22 since they stopped honoring there lunch menu at 2. We ordered anyway. For 3 basic stir fry’s and 2 vegan sushi rolls the lunch bill was $95 for 3 of us. If the meal was above par it may have been worth it but it was totally sub par. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner for that matter.

My husband and I, along with 3 other couples, took a Culinary Tour of Sarasota. This restaurant was the 3rd stop that our guide took us to. Our server was exceptional! She served each of us rice, curry, pad Thai, a California roll & a spicy sweet potato roll. Each & every item was delicious. Now we know where to go the next time we’re in the area.

We came here for dinner this evening and completely enjoyed our meal. All interactions with staff were a pleasure, Our waiter's timing for serving, checking on our meal, and bringing us the bill were perfect. Food was very good. Among the three of us, we had Kang Panang (with shrimp), Shrimp Tempura, and Pad Thai. We will be going back here!

The entre (Green Curry Fried Rice) was is okay although greasy and short on taste. The appetizer soup (vegetable and tofu) was good although nothing special. Everything is priced way too high for what it is, and the service was okay. The wait for food was almost one hour. Lila's, which is a few doors from this restaurant, is much better.

I love Thai food and this is the place for falling in love. I've had been searching and searching the area to find a good Thai restaurant and came across this location. The food is delicious and fresh. I particularly like the pink rolls, very crispy with shrimp tucked inside. I will be going back again and again.

We made a reservation on Open Table, but the host didn’t get and told us not to use that app because, well, I guess they don’t check it? So call to make your reservation. The food was good, but it took more than an hour to get our food. The place filled up just as we arrived. It was super busy and the staff was hustling, but we were so hangry by the time dinner arrived.

Two couples came here on a Saturday night without reservations. Lucky for us they squeezed us in. We got two orders of crab Rangoon. They were small and had a strange taste. Almost like nutmeg or all spice. They were unlike any rangoons I’ve eaten and wasn’t a huge fan. The men both got the beef pad Thai. One at a 4 and one at a 5 for spice level. 5 is the spiciest. The women both got drunken noodles. One with chicken at a 5 and one with shrimp at a 4. The shrimp were good size but only 5 in the dish. Taste was very good. I probably should’ve gone with a three for heat level as my nose was running and I was sweating. We all agreed we’d come back for sure. Service was very good.
