After we visited the Ringling Museum, we went to this restaurant my brother found and we were not disappointed. The lunch specials were varied and delicious and came with miso soup and salad. The sashimi mix I had was so fresh and smooth it "melted" in my mouth. The rest of menu is also varied, ranging from traditional Japanese dishes (and desserts too!) to your choice of sushi. We'd love to go back and try dinner there during our next visit to Florida. A great find! Some of the best sushi I've ever tasted!

This is an excellent place for sushi: fresh, tasteful and well presented. They also offer traditional cooked dishes like a delicious tempura. On North Tamiami, Kasa Sushi does not get the attention or traffic it so deserves. It is a great spot for those going to the Van Wezel or the Ringling after dinner.

We came here with Hubby's friend for dinner. The place looked very secluded. Nothing was going on around the restaurant, just the empty parking lot because it was still early. Surprisingly, the food was excellent! I had salmon hibachi, Hubby got a dragon roll, and our friend got beef and shrimp hibachi. We also got a house salad and agadashi tofu. Of course, I had a hot tea to go with my food. So ok, I could skip agadashi tofu. They made it slightly different here, not quite agadashi tofu. The salad's ginger dressing was excellent. I also got a clear soup, which I thought was quite nice. My hibachi salmon was perfect! I loved the vegetable that was served along with my salmon. Both salmon and vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. Even the teriyaki sauce was excellent too. The dragon roll was amazing! It had eel, cucumber, tobiko, and avocado. Try it! We had Lisa to take care of our table. She was a big help! The restaurant is pretty big. I bet a lot of people come in later. We just happened to be there early. I don’t mind coming back next time to try a different dish. The reviews were right. It was excellent!

Our family enjoyed Calamari, California Rolls, the Sarasota Roll, and the Sashimi Deluxe. Everything was outstanding, including the traditional salad with ginger dressing and the Miso Soup. Amazingly reasonably priced = Win - Win!

This is at least the third time I’ve grabbed takeout from Kasa while in Sarasota for business. The location is very convenient to the hotels around the airport. Every time, every item I’ve ordered has been delicious! The udon noodle soup, pan fried dumplings, and maki have all been excellent. This time, I had the tofu appetizer with a side of steamed vegetables - amazing! And the avocado peanut rolls are beyond amazing!! I can see myself making Kasa a planned stop on future trips.

This restaurant is not in the downtown area, but 5 minutes away. Quality food, great service and great prices. We ordered several rolls, all of them satisfied our appetite and exceeded our expectations.

We were looking for a place to have a quiet dinner and came upon this hidden gem.
The owner is great. The service exceptional.
Lisa- the young helper is truly amazing. She is smart, courteous and very helpful.
A must visit for great food and service.

Finally we had a chance to try Kaza Sushi.. location is a bit odd, outside Sarasata downtown... which is an advantage at this time of the year ! Restaurant was almost empty... service was very nice and food delivery was extremely fast...everything was excellent and fresh... my wife ordered more than 28 pieces and the waiter informed her... always good for lunch next day!we will come back for sure

Although the location is a bit odd, once you are inside this restaurant delivers a fresh, good meal with friendly service.
Everything we ordered was tasty, the service was quick and professional, and the interior was comfortable enough.
This small restaurant is a great option for Japanese if you are in the Ringling Museum / New College / Airport area.

A little disappointed in what some reviewers place emphasis on when rating a restaurant. The only handicap associated with this place is that it’s located in an older section of Sarasota and the outside looks dated. Otherwise, this is some of the best sushi I’ve had in Florida in years. Good preparation, fresh fish, generous rolls, great selection and good prices. Drove by this place initially as the rating based on reviews wasn’t great.... drove to Tsunami’s in the heart of where the big condo’s and the upper crust concentrate. That gave me pause - decided to go back to Kasa Sushi. Glad I did. I’ll be back.

Family owned restaurant. high quality sushi and other menu items such as tempura vegetables (delicious choice), often served a complimentary amuse bouche or appetizer. Atmosphere adequate, easy to find location, service good, plenty of parking.
