This restaurant is not in the downtown area, but 5 minutes away. Quality food, great service and great prices. We ordered several rolls, all of them satisfied our appetite and exceeded our expectations. Great japanese restaurant.

After we visited the Ringling Museum, we went to this restaurant my brother found and we were not disappointed. The lunch specials were varied and delicious and came with miso soup and salad. The sashimi mix I had was so fresh and smooth it "melted"...in my mouth. The rest of menu is also varied, ranging from traditional Japanese dishes (and desserts too!) to your choice of sushi. Finally we had a chance to try Kaza Sushi.. location is a bit odd, outside Sarasata downtown... which is an advantage at this time of the year ! Restaurant was almost empty... service was very nice and food delivery was extremely fast...everything was excellent and...fresh... my wife ordered more than 28 pieces and the waiter informed her... always good for lunch next day!we will come back for sureMore

A little disappointed in what some reviewers place emphasis on when rating a restaurant. The only handicap associated with this place is that it’s located in an older section of Sarasota and the outside looks dated. Otherwise, this is some of the best sushi I’ve...had in Florida in years. Good preparation, fresh fish, generous rolls, great selection and good prices. Drove by this place initially as the rating based on reviews wasn’t great.... drove to Tsunami’s in the heart of where the big condo’s and the upper crust concentrate. That gave me pause - decided to go back to Kasa Sushi. Glad I did. I’ll be back.More

Great food and service is attentive. Sushi is fresh and flavorful. Tempura is tasty, New York roll was a favorite.

Family owned restaurant. high quality sushi and other menu items such as tempura vegetables (delicious choice), often served a complimentary amuse bouche or appetizer. Atmosphere adequate, easy to find location, service good, plenty of parking.

THis casual restaurant was pretty darn good, for the price. Service was prompt, but a just a bit stand-off-ish. The food was very good, not top of the line, knock your socks off, but very well prepared, for the price. We had sashimi and sushi...rolls, and all of it was very good. So-so location is on N Tamiami. Place was deserted over a holiday weekend in high season. Only one other couple at dinner. Rolls were small. Selection was varied but some rolls were "slimy" in texture with the sauce covering it up. With many very good...sushi places in Sarasota, would not eat here again especially as it was fairly expensive - $200 for 8 rolls and one glass of wine. Service was also so so... had to keep asking for water.More

So, the fish was quite decent, if not expertly cut. Some of the rolls were small and contained just a trace amount of fish, mostly veggies. But the lunch deal was priced right, served quickly, we were satisfied overall.

Not a great neighborhood. But conveniently between Asolo and Downtown sarasota. Nice food, friendly staff, redone older restaurant.
