We spent four lovely days in the Siesta Key area and decided to stop at El Toro Bravo for lunch. We were not disappointed. Our server was charming and knowledgeable regarding the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and will return next time we are in town.

Growing up in New Mexico, I have searched for New Mexican style stacked enchiladas with an egg on top. I have never found them. This restaurant is the real deal. It has them and they are fantastic. Our friends ordered combinations and were surprised at the amount and quality of their dinners. This place is a hidden jewel. We were... More

Visited this restaurant in October while on a family vacation. We each ordered a different entree and everything was wonderful. We were even treated to a complimentary dessert for being first time diners. Highly recommend!

We drove ten miles on a Saturday night to find this tiny restaurant. So very glad we did! We didn't know that it was so small or that we should make reservations. When we told the woman outside greeting guests there would be 7-9 in our party her chin dropped, but she said she would see what she could do.... More

We usually eat Mexican elsewhere, but decided to give this a shot based on the Trip Advisor review. Ordered a queso and chip appetizer. I didn't care for the nacho chips...kinda cardboard-y, but their salsa was very nice. The queso dish was a cream cheese based dip and it didn't really do it for me. They only serve beer and... More

Just finished dinner. Fabulous as always. Food is so, so fresh and delicious and no preservatives, so flavorful. We look forward to coming to this restaurant at least 4-5 times while in town. But, make reservations. After almost 11 years in business, there is always a wait if you don't have a reservation in the evening. Try the Guadalahara Plate,... More

Accurate reviews. Not only was the food outstanding, great salsa and the queso dip was excellent. The owner comes out and greets you the staff was all very friendly and sincere. They are upsizing to a new location not far up the road. They need all the room they can get. And the wine margarita was very tasty.

Not only did we have a great meal tonight. The waitress brought us out a welcome dessert. The owner came out and thanked us for coming and chatted for a bit. My husband had chicken fajitas and I had steak quesadelia Both were excellent. The salsa and chips were great. I cannot wait to come back to Sarasota so we... More

Food is fresh and tasty. Prepared to order. Guadalajara plate is excellent. Loved beef and chicken and red and green sauces all of which they will combine in the same dish.

We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Sarasota, so after doing a search on TripAdvisor, El Toro Bravo popped up. What a fabulous place! It is cozy with only about approximately 12-14 tables....and they do take reservations which we didn't know. The hostess Judy greeted us outside & apologetically said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. Then... More
