We had given our son a fishing charter for his 8th birthday. Our captain had recommended Grayton Seafood as a good place to cook the fish that we had caught. Tabitha at Grayton offered times that worked for them to cook our catch. When we showed up, they had set a table for our son's birthday with streamers and birthday hats! They even gave him a Grayton Seafood shirt to commemorate his special day. We met their lovely dog and the kids had a great time loving on her.
Our speckled trout was cooked to perfection 🥰, half grilled and half blackened. The sides were delicious as well, and the desserts from Sweet Henrietta's were both generously portioned and super tasty. The whole staff, especially Naveen and our waiter Sam, were fun and attentive. We couldn't have asked for more perfect service or a more perfect night.

From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to the time we left the table, the service at Grayton Seafood Co. was incredible. Our son dined there alone one evening and was so impressed that he insisted we all return the next night.
The staff was very friendly and efficient, ensuring our food arrived quickly. The blackened redfish with Creole sauce was absolutely delicious, a standout dish that we all enjoyed. For dessert, the bread pudding was amazing, and the chocolate cake was equally delightful.
Overall, Grayton Seafood Co. provided an excellent dining experience that we look forward to repeating. Highly recommended!

We only had one dinner out while staying on 30A because everything was so expensive, so we wanted to make it count! This is exactly what we were looking for…excellent food with a local feel and outstanding service. We were celebrating my Mom’s birthday, so we were seated in a cozy corner with 2 different happy birthday signs…so thoughtful! I had the special (blacked grouper), which was pricey at $44, but worth every penny! The fish with creole sauce was delicious, the asparagus was cooked perfectly and I’m still thinking about the garlic mash. My parents got the fried shrimp with onion rings, which were lightly fried to perfection. We finished off the meal with key lime pie and bread pudding…both ridiculously good. You can tell that everything is homemade and the employees genuinely love working there. We will definitely be back!

The positives first; I texted for a reservation as the information on the website stated to do and someone immediately responded to me and scheduled a reservation for me. The dinner entrees were very fresh and tasty we had no issue with the food. My issue was with the speed of how everything came out of the kitchen and bar area. When going out to dine at a nice restaurant when your total bill is $185 for two including tip one expects to be able to enjoy themselves and not feel rushed. Because of the speed that our food and drinks came out and the fact that the waiter made us feel rushed we were out of the restaurant in 45 minutes. For example I ordered a salad with my entree. There was no enjoying the salad as 2 bites into it the main meal was delivered. The server looked annoyed as I tried to find room on the table for the entree. The server delivering the food had no comment on the main course coming out right after my salad was delivered. For the record I do not make it a practice of leaving complaining reviews for restaurants but when spending the amount I spent I do not think it's too much to ask for a restaurant to allow customers to enjoy the experience of dining and dining should be and to myself and my wife an experience. If I want to be rushed in and out I will go to a fast food restaurant.

We were immediately struck by the upselling by all the staff, even the host and busboy. To us, the staff were fake friendly. Our wine was a very moderate pour for $12. We had 1 glass of wine each, a cheeseburger, and a grouper special for $100. The food was delivered lukewarm which affected this review a lot.

Underwhelming. Giving the restaurant 3 stars because reservations were easy and the atmosphere was great. However, the shrimp in grits were mediocre to poor (tasteless and drowning in tomatoes that appeared to
come from a can), blue crab claws were mushy and crazy salty. Any time we wanted something we had to snag a member of the wait staff. The salad dressing for the house salad was definitely not house made. Couldn't comment on dessert because we skipped it. Also, one of the runners spilled the sautéed crab claw dish contents onto two members of our party. Very apologetic but awful.

The crew at Grayton Seafood is just amazing and the best dinner out for young families. Not only do they treat you like old friends and have fabulous food, the service is first rate, and they even have a bag of tricks to calm fussy toddlers. We were there with our two kids and their families and the youngest grandchild got upset about something. Nothing her parents did calmed her but the hostess showed up with a little Disney character (and one for her older sister, of course) which immediately made her happy. An older grandson who had been on his best behavior quipped, “Next time I’m going to throw a fit!” 😂 All this to say Grayton Seafood is the perfect place for your whole crew. Their fried seafood is the best on 30A with such a light batter. And make sure to get the fried okra! Yum!

We decided on dinner a little late in the afternoon, texted the number for a reservation and was told they were booked and to try another night. Unfortunately we were leaving the next day..the hostess then texted us back saying push it back 30 mins and she would make it work, VIP treatment 😂
Parking was easy and the hostess worked us in (we appreciated it as we had a sitter for the evening)
Server was nice and quick
Food was great

Main course-
I had lshrimp and grits (great flavor, big portion and just YUMM!) this was my first time trying grits
My husband had the catch of the day (sheepshead) with pasta that had crawfish and some asparagus, absolutely great presentation… flavor was great too!!!

Crab were claws excellent. Grouper special was very good but very pricey for grouper $56. Historically the bread pudding is excellent but was too soupy last night.
Overall a very good visit.
We will be back!!!

Had a reservation that was booked 3 weeks in advance. Was able to sit outside. Good menu options. Most dinners are of average price, $20-25, but the specials are $40-$45 range. Food was good. The flounder had several bones, so that reduced the rating by a star. Service was really good.

We did not enjoy our dinner at Grayton Seafood. I had the crab cakes that were very expensive and they had no to very little crab in them. They tasted like mushy cornbread. My husband had the fish of the day and it had no taste and was very fatty. He did not enjoy it at all! My daughter had the pasta and it had no taste. There were individuals who worked at the restaurant and I believe one was the owner who did not pay attention to any of the guest except for one table that had people they knew. They could have had their meeting inside or out of site of the people eating. Overall, I had been looking forward to this restaurant. The food and the experience left us very disappointed and will not return.

The food was good. Loved the fried pickles. It took over an hour to get our main course. It states that they are a seafood restaurant with reasonable prices. The prices were very high. $48 for 2 crab cakes. $52 for grouper. $24 for chicken strips (you cod totally share this meal).
Our bill for 4 people (we did not have any drinks. We only ordered the fried pickles. It was over $200 plus tip.

I had been fishing earlier with my teenage son and Grayson Seafood had been recommended by my guide. What a great call! Very friendly, professional staff, the owner made everyone feel at home and the food was excellent. Casual, classy atmosphere. I thought the prices were very reasonable and I will come back to Seaside just to eat here again.

After seeing all the reviews, we were very excited to try this place. We made our reservations over a month ago. When we arrived, it was obvious a storm was going to hit. In fact, it was already sprinkling rain while we were at the hostess stand. The hostess tried to seat us outside in the open area. After standing there for 10 minutes and repeatedly asking for a different table, they finally seated us under the tent. The service was not great. From the time we were seated, it took almost an hour to get our food. I had the fried oysters and the batter really had no taste. The best part of the meal was the cheese grits. In my opinion there are better places to eat along 30A.

Our first experience at Grayton certainly didn't disappoint. The casual ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for a great experience. We were greeted like we were old friends by most of the staff. The service all around was top notch giving us a feeling that they cared and were excited we were there. When I made the reservation over the phone, my wife and I joked with Tabitha about roses being on the table....when we arrived, they had a special table in the outside area with rose petals sprinkled over the table. It was great. Marcia, our server, couldn't have been more pleasant and fun to talk with all night. The food was amazing. I went with the catch of the day which was blackened over mashed potato's and my wife went with the crabcakes.....superb, compliments to the Chef. Needless to say, this will be a first stop on our next trip back to 30A. Brad M
