First off I should say Stinky’s has an extensive selection of oysters which are not my thing so perhaps if I liked Oysters I would have rated it even higher. Stinky’s had the good food but informal atmosphere combination I was looking for. They got slammed with a crowd as we arrived so it took our waiter a minute to get to us but once he did he was just the right amount of attentive and was very helpful explaining the different items on the menu. WE had a Rose’ spritzer which was OK but also a Stinky juice frozen Daiquiri (orange liqueur with grape vodka) that was very good. My wife had the Mahi Mahi (3rd time in 3 nights) which was good but I had the Stinky’s sampler of Crawfish Etufee pot pie(flavorful and unusual) , Shrimp and Grits (the best of the 3 with really outstanding flavor) and Catfish Meuniere which was very good. The parking and seating was tight during off season so I would worry going here in peak season but I think they had an upstairs they could open so just be prepared to park on the street. I regret not taking a picture of my meal to share with you. I would recommend Stinky’s and go back when in the area.

Sticky’s does oysters about six different ways. So if you want oysters this is a great place to come.
And they do a killer Bloody Mary with a shrimp, okra, celery, pickles and more in it.
Then you get to spiced/boiled cold shrimp (peel em) that are large and flavorful. And other appetizers including fowl gumbo. This appeals to some but not all.
They do nice large salads and if you add oysters or shrimp they are generous with the portions. The fried fish basket is a fair serving of the fish you chose and an obscene amount of huge potato wedges that are perfectly fried. Too much!
So, I find Stinky’s to be good, mostly traditional fish camp (fried or grilled or blackened), but they do have a Louisiana flair to their food.
A good lunch spot for sure.

OK, I pulled this choice out of a GPS "along" the way between Panama City Beach and Destin FL (outlet malls). My selection was based on seeing "Fish Camp" in the name, and knowing that the rest of the family hadn't been to a fish camp style restaurant.
Based on my limited info, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had a New Orleans/Cajun theme. It offers all fresh fish, and a great selection of seafood. Three of us ordered the Catfish baskets (two adult and one kids meal). If we had it to do "over", my wife would have ordered a salad, and shared the kids' catfish. We took home a full box of fries. The kids have never been to NoLA and the remoulade sauce was something new to them, and something that they really enjoyed.
They're selection of Po'Boys included a Cuban sandwich. I selected the Cuban... it was great and a new experience for the rest of the family.
For those with kids, there was outdoor seating and an opportunity to watch the local birds on a deck and walkway to admire the visiting birds. I could see what I thought was an Ibis in the distance. The deck and walkway are over a small pond/wetland area behind the restaurant (and across the street from beach).
Crawfish Hushpuppies come with most of the entrees and baskets but not the Po'Boys/sandwiches. Don't miss them.

We arrived at about 1:30, parking was easy and we were quickly seated. Our waitress came right by and took our drink orders and quickly returned with my request for water with lemon but stated that my husband's beer would have to c to me from the bar. It took over 10 minutes for his beer to be served and it was barely cold. We ordered 1 dozen raw oysters and 1/2 dozen garlic butter grilled. It did take quite a while for our order to be served, the raw oysters were fresh and large in size however the grilled oysters were under cooked for our liking. We did not order anything else during this trip as most of their offerings are fried. The restaurant was clean and pleasantly decorated and the servers were friendly.

A couple weeks ago we had a terrific lunch of fish tacos. Hubby and I thought it was great and among the best seafood on the Gulf. So this week we took guests there for lunch. Three of us had fish tacos -- they were very fishy and overcooked Mahi. What a disappointment. Another friend had the Fowl Gumbo, which he likec very much. Not sure we will go back.

Horrible take out wait. We called in at 5:20 and they told us it would be ready in 25-30 min. It took them over an hour to have the food out and blamed the kitchen. We also only ordered 3 fish specials and 3 desserts and the cost was almost $200 dollars. They don’t have it together and continue to make excuses to why a take out order is taking over an hour to be put together. Management is terrible and not apologizing for anything.

I will gladly and sincerely apologize for misquoting the time for a take out order to be prepared. There was clearly an error in communication on our part. Due to the increased demand for take out food and the increased traffic in the restaurant this time of year, we regularly temporarily pause taking to go orders when we can not produce them in a timely manner. Thank you for the feedback.

We had the fried shrimp baskets. The shrimp were good but sides were just okay at best. we called the order in and were told 15 minutes turned out to be a 30 minute wait. The shrimp were hot but the hush puppies were cold - they may have been ready at the 15 minute mark. Will skip this one next visit.

The hush puppies are indeed much better when hot. I’m sorry about the extended wait as well. We do our best to estimate times, but sounds like we missed the mark.

While on vacation at the beach a group of 10 of us went here for dinner. I grew up in NOLA and must say this restaurant rates right up there with some of the best shrimp and oyster places I have been to. We had the fresh oysters and honestly I could have eaten platters of them, they were so fresh, salty and juicy! The gumbo was delicious, a rich dark roux and plenty of seafood. The shrimp po-boy was loaded with lightly and perfectly breaded and fried shrimp. Others had the crab legs and raved about them. They offer a frozen margarita was that delicious too. The Key Lime pie for dessert was fabulous as well. I wish I lived closer, I would be here weekly!

After a morning of wandering through boutiques in Destin, FL we stopped at Stinky’s Fish Camp for some delicious seafood on the way back to our house rental in SRB. Stinky’s is one of many beach restaurants on 30A but I would rate it very highly.
We started out with a dozen oysters on the half shell; they were fresh and juicy. Coupled with cocktail sauce and horseradish, they were delightful, especially with Stinky’s signature Bloody Mary. It was potent, spicy, and contained pickled veggies including string beans, okra and others. It also included the traditional celery stalk and pimento stuffed olives.
Then my wife and I diverged. She had a lovely salad topped with grilled shrimp in a jalapeno rouille. I ventured elsewhere and ordered the fried catfish basket. It contained two large catfish fillets, crawfish hushpuppies that were to die for and sidewinder French fries served with a delightful smoked tomato tartar. This was all coupled with a wonderful tropical fruit slaw.
We left very happy and drove back to an afternoon in the sun next to a paradise swimming pool with our sun block and a good book. If you get down to the Emerald Coast, you must try Stinky’s. You cannot go wrong.

My wife and I had a very nice meal at Stinkys. We started with an appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes with a crawfish sauce that was superb and then ordered the chicken fettuccini and shrimp and grits that were both very tasty. The room decor is nice enough, not high end. Server was friendly and food came out hot. One recommendation would be nicer silverware.

Had the fresh Amberjack basket. The Amberjack was good, but not great, a little underdone. Size of portion was just a bit small for the $20 I paid. Most of my plate was potato curls, which were quite good. Coleslaw was good. Hushpuppies were the worst I've ever had, burnt, overly dry and served cold. I'd give them 3.5 stars if I could, as overall the meal was okay, although I would not order it again.

Great service from Taylor! Accommodated unusual allergies for one of our party members. Crawfish hush puppies and sidewinder fries were crispy on the outside, moist and fluffy inside. Fresh slaw with hints of mango. Gumbo was authentic and savory, good flavor on the grouper sandwich and tacos. I loved the fat, meaty fried shrimp! Desserts made on site: rich tangy key lime pie and fluffy filling peanut butter chocolate pie!

Stinkys has been a staple of our visit to 30A since it opened. After our visit this time, we won’t be back. Service was slow, prices are up, (paid $35 for flounder) the overall food was not good at all. Meals came out lukewarm at best. Very disappointed to write this review but it’s the truth.

Thank you for your years of patronage. Prices on some items are indeed up, as our costs have increased considerably as well on a few items. Nonetheless, we try to remain competitive in the market and provide excellent value in spite of the occasional price increase. I'm very sorry about the lukewarm food; it tastes much better hot, and we failed you on that front. I hope you'll reconsider your decision not to return, perhaps when the season slows and we can focus on our locals and long time clientele. Visiting with the locals during the winter months is one of my favorite parts of the off season. Thank you for your feedback, we welcome it all as it helps us to be better going forward.

Amazing dishes and wonderfully polite and friendly staff. Oysters were great! We had the shrimp and grits, but per the bartenders suggestions, we swapped the shrimp for scallops and it was amazing! We also had the seafood stew and the two dishes together were perfect. Pricey meal but worth it for the food and atmosphere.

Went here with my fiancé under the recommendation of a friend. Could not be more happy with the experience! Our server Rick was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu!
Do yourself a favor and order the “Oyster Log” it has one of every baked/fried oyster they make (a total of 36 oysters!) we also got a half dozen of raw oysters in addition. These where the freshest and most flavorful oysters I’ve had here in Florida (and I’ve been here for 4 years!)
Great experience and we left full and happy for a moderate price!
