This was an average breakfast...in fact I can cook better than this breakfast. A recommended biscuit was fine, but the eggs were dry, bacon flavorless and food service quality and coffee bitter. Service was good, but did not make up for the food.
Visited FOOW - Fish Out Of Water - recently after a complete renovation of the hotel lobby & restaurant.
Much more casual & family friendly. And affordable.
Hamburgers & homemade chips were perfect.
Shrimp & grits spot on.
Fried oyster bucket delicious.
Fried catfish meal...a hit.
Waitstaff is young & friendly.
Sorry it was evening when we went - couldn’t appreciate the new outside patio.
Actually a great evening with good food. A solid hit.More
Delicious! Fresh fish with savory sauces - the fried grouper was incredible. The red velvet cheesecake dessert was amazing, too, as were the appetizers, sides, and drinks. The patio is the perfect place for a sunset view over the water. Pricey, but worth it.
I have celiac disease so generally my choice of restaurants is extremely limited. We found out they have a dedicated GF fryer so we decided to give it a go. I will say the wait was almost 2 hours, I thought I overheard they do...not take reservations, but don’t quote me on that. So we grabbed drinks from the bar and walked around. They were accurate with their wait time, we did not wait longer than stated. Once we were seated it was fantastic! The atmosphere was chic and sophisticated but down to earth. We felt comfortable there even with our young children, but also is a great spot for date night. Our server was so nice and very knowledgeable of the gluten free options. He had awesome menu recommendations too. We had the banger shrimp appetizer, it was so yummy with the right amount of spice. My husband had the blacked swordfish, I had the GF fried grouper and the kids had mac and cheese and burgers. We all loved our food. The seasoning on the grouper was fantastic! It was so good I questioned if it was really gluten free. The service was so fast! The kitchen is on their game and their waitstaff is first class. Worth the wait! Plus there’s shops to go look around in if you have to wait.More
The family went here for dinner while on vacation for the first time. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The key lime pie was delicious. The kids also liked the ice cream cookie sandwiches. Three of us got the filet. It was good,...but not the best I have ever had, but would get it again. Definitely plan to come back here again.More
The food was very average and lacking great flavor. I expected more for the price. The redfish special was the best dish out of four. Fried shrimp and grouper items were very heavily battered/breaded. I would return but stay away from fried seafood. Service was...attentive.More
We stayed across the street so it was convenient to get takeout. Quick, easy, blackened grouper, grilled chicken, veggies, mashed potatoes, hush puppies were all great. Atmosphere seems cool as well (outdoor by the ocean, live music, nice interior) but we got take-out to be...quicker.More
