My husband found this restaurant and really liked the food so he took myself and our friends there to have dinner. First of all when we walked in the smell of mothballs was overwhelming. Not sure why we smelled mothballs to begin with. It was 6:30 on Saturday evening we did not have reservations and were told by the manager... More

We have eaten at Borago's before the old place burned down. The new location on the bay is fantastic. Great out door bar overlooking the water. The food is great and service is terrific. A must visit but make reservations .

A little hard to find as the signage could be better but once we found it we enjoyed the dinner, great menu and terrific wine list. The servers were all professional and friendly although I am not sure they were prepared for the large crowd that was in the restaurant. Could have had more help. This is a beach crowd... More

Friends took us here on a recent visit to the emerald coast. My grouper was good, but a little more "fishy" tasting than what I have come to like grouper for. The service was super friendly and attentive.

We ate at Borago last year, a week before a fire did major damage. They have now moved into a new building at the base of the hwy 331 bridge. Food was great, as always. We were able to sit at a window table and watch the sunset. Our waiter Chance was most attentive.

2.0 star rating 9/17/2016 Summary: Expensive. Extremely noisy. A la carte menu with large plates of filler ingredients e.g. potatoes & pasta). Automatic 20% gratuity for over 5 people. $25 corkage. Mediocre food quality. Good service. Details: The overwhelming stench of moth balls greet you upon entering the ground floor dining area. The area is noisy due to no soft... More

The restaurant has moved to a new location right on the bay and has a great view of the bay. The staff is very attentive, but not intrusive, and very knowledgeable about the menu You will be full from dinner, but make room for their chocolate creme brûlée. This is not inexpensive, you will spend over $100/couple, but if you... More

We went to dinner at Borago's last weekend with another couple. We had made a reservation for a window table the night before but when we arrived we had been written down for the following evening. No problem. They were able to find us a table even though they were booked for the evening (lucky for us we came early... More

I've been to this restaurant on 30A, when it was at Nick's and now on Hwy 331 S. What a fabulous new site. It is beautiful inside and out. We got our food to go on this visit, and it was remarkable. The angel hair pasta is my go to, but it does have a kick. The bread is great(first... More

Have always loved Borago and hated when they had the fire in Grayton. Nick's was gracious to let them use their building. However, the new location is the best, and the food and service is still excellent. Our fav date night place...

Description
We are a small contemporary Italian restaurant. We have a full bar and bar area, dining room with open kitchen and a screened in porch area. We are chef owned and operated and at least one of the two owner/chefs can be found in the kitchen every night. We have a excellent staff most of whom have been with us for many years. We had our 15 year anniversary on March 1, 2015 with the same two owner/chefs for that time. We have a nice variety of food to choose from, with appetizers like calamari and pan seared sea scallops, salads like Caesar and arugula, pastas like angel hair with pan seared shrimp and three meat bolognese and entrees like grouper nicoise and roasted eggplant lasagna. Please come and give us a try!
