Husband had linguine with meatballs. Linguine was undercooked and meatballs were dry and overcooked. I had eggplant lasagna which was surprisingly good. There did not appear to be any pasta at all but rather all vegetables layered into a lasagna-style dish. Eggplant, zuccini, yellow squash, mushrooms, etc. with red sauce. Light amount of cheese. Unusual and nice. Chocolate creme brulee... More

We love the new location. We love to eat looking over the water and Borago fits our two favorite things...great food and great vibe! From start (the Aranci Balls) to a fabulous finish (desserts are amazing!) the menu does not disappoint! You can also BYOB for a $20 corkage.

Our party arrived at 7:00 on Sunday evening. There were four adults and three children in our party. We originally planned to eat across the street, at The Bay, but decided to give Borago a try. The young lady at the desk said "we have no openings". (There were many empty tables, in plain view, but perhaps they were reserved.)... More

We have visited several times at the old location while on vacation, this year we were sad to see it had closed but decided to give the new location a try. It has an absolutely beautiful view of the bay and is much more spacious than the old location!! It is also nice to get away from the hustle and... More

We will go back every year from now on! This place was so delicious! The Garlic Pasta was the best pasta I have ever eaten! The dark chocolate creme brulee was over the top and the salad was perfect! The view was awesome. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is.

Every time we stay in the 30A area of the gulf coast we make the trip to Borago, and it never disappoints. This year they have a new location set on the bay with great views and spectacular sunsets. The food is authentic and exceptional, the service superb and the wine list is varied. The chocolate crème brulee is not... More

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends out on the screened patio with a beautiful view of the bay. Walked out to dock via small pristine beach to see crab cage. Enjoyed the special oyster appetizer, arugula salad and salmon. Wonderful wine selection. Hope they add filet to menu.

My husband and I have eaten here twice in the last two weeks! Enjoyed it so much we had to come back again. I never do reviews but felt I should after reading a review about food not being as good as before. I strongly disagree. I feel like you might want to try again. We had the meatballs, calamari,... With much anticipation, my family and I loaded up the car to visit Borago at it's new location. It's a place we usually eat at at least twice if not more during the two weeks we stay in Santa Rosa Beach each year. Unfortunately, those days are over. The new location is gorgeous. It's right on the bay off 331... More

I am sorry to hear you didn't enjoy everything. We do still have the same group working for us in the kitchen as well as the front of house as we have for so long now, we have had to hire some new staff going into the busy season of course. My husband is one of two chef owners for... More

Description
We are a small contemporary Italian restaurant. We have a full bar and bar area, dining room with open kitchen and a screened in porch area. We are chef owned and operated and at least one of the two owner/chefs can be found in the kitchen every night. We have a excellent staff most of whom have been with us for many years. We had our 15 year anniversary on March 1, 2015 with the same two owner/chefs for that time. We have a nice variety of food to choose from, with appetizers like calamari and pan seared sea scallops, salads like Caesar and arugula, pastas like angel hair with pan seared shrimp and three meat bolognese and entrees like grouper nicoise and roasted eggplant lasagna. Please come and give us a try!
