Nothing to rave about. Bloody Mary mix was tasty but not sure if there was any alcohol in it! Lobster roll was tasteless as was my husbands fish sandwich. Really wanted to like this place based on reviews! Very nice waitress! Drive on down the...road!More

We enjoyed every time we ate there - the shrimp is amazing! The friendly staff meets your needs. Can't beat fresh seafood when on the island. Hosea was GREAT! The owner was very friendly - definitely will return next year!

Clam bake great idea for take out. The portion was perfect for 2 people. The chowder was excellent. Presentation was great. Taste was very good. I would recommend a side order of cold slaw. I would do this again and again if I was not...disappointed with the lobster. Both my husband and I felt our lobster was over cooked for our taste. Actually it was very overcooked and dry. If the lobster had not been over cooked this would have been amazing. It was take out but the service could not have been more friendly.More

Absolutely loved our late lunch this weekend. We started with fabulous fried clams and onion rings and enjoyed the chowder and bisque. I had the lobster roll which I can confidently say was one of the top 5 things I have ever eaten in my...whole life! My husband had fish and chips which he raved about, my sister had scallops which she said were fantastic. Michelle was a Great waitress and Patrick came checking in on us as well. Our first time on Sanibel and will always have this great experience to remember!More

We just arrived at Sanibel and were hungry for lunch. I looked for a spot on line and saw the Clam Shack so we headed there. Once we got there it dawned on me that this is a New England food based restaurant ...we’re in...Florida ....and I thought this is a mistake. We pretty much always eat local when on vacation. We’re from Boston and I ordered the fish and chips. I was amazed how good it was. The fish was fresh, moist, thick, and plentiful. The coating was light and crunchy. The cole slaw was not too saucy, and the fries were fine (I’m not a fries person). The service was top notch and there was live entertainment on the deck ...at lunch! The servers all wore masks and we had a table at the edge of the deck. Felt perfectly safe (we have not eaten out much due to COVID).More

Spending our first anniversary on Sanibel Island was a delight, although the pandemic severely limited our celebratory options. Dining indoor was not an option for us, so an outdoor venue was the only non-home cooked consideration The Clam Shack fit the bill. Delicious seafood, great...service, attentive management and great music made our special night very memorable. Our solitary patio seats were perfect given our Covid concerns, and the performer’s great selection of classics, not to mention playing ‘our’ song , made it even more special. Thanks to owner Patrick, server Luis, the fine kitchen staff and the amazing performer for helping make what we thought was going to be a pretty mundane event into a remembrance that will always bring a smile to our face.More

I'm down here from New England with my daughters, grand daughter, and friends, and we were a bit peckish after doing a nature walk at Ding Darling. We had a great late lunch at the Clam Shack! Fried clams, onion rings, clam chowder, chicken wings...- all very good, authentic New England. Nice people, too. Give them a try.More

We visit this restaurant whenever we visit Sanibel. We went twice this trip. The lobster rolls are the best I've ever eaten and the onion rings are amazing as well. I split my meal with my husband and wished I'd gotten my own! Don't miss...this gem.....More

I went twice during a 4 day stay. I very much enjoyed the fresh food and local (St Pete) beer. The clam bellies were awesome - it was just like being home in Maine and Boston!! The lobsta roll was chucked full of lobsta meat.
