After high recommendations from many we expected better. Everything was average. Food was nothing to rave about, sort of a self-serve place. You go to the counter to order, pick up food and pay. NOT a restaurant. Beer selection very limited and out of some on the menu. Many better places to eat in Sanibel.

We enjoyed the fun dive bar ambiance, the cheap drinks and the seafood so much we went to both locations, several times each during our trip. Our servers were so nice each time we went and we met cool locals and travelers alike. I still smile every time I look at my fridge and see my Lazy Flamingo magnet. Just... More

Look.... I know its easy to be critical of restaurants and nitpick about every little thing that might be wrong. But, at the end of a meal, I ask myself if I enjoyed my experience, was the food good, was it a good value for the money, were the staff friendly, and would I go back or recommend it to... More

This was our first time visiting the Lazy Flamingo. The atmosphere was eclectic and a little dark, I loved it. Mostly dark wood everywhere...walls...bar...unique big windows and cool bar stools that each have a name plate. You should select wisely unless you can't take a joke from the guy sitting next to you...LOL. Service was attentive and friendly. Clam chowder... More

My husband and I used to visit the Sanibel restaurant every day to grab lunch. And we always had the same thing! A bowl full of clam chowder to shared and 2 grilled grouper sandwiches! I can honestly say I don't eat the chowder anymore as it has been a bit on the floury side. But that grilled grouper sandwich... More

We ate at the Lazy Flamingo the last time we were in Captiva. We ate at the smaller one. The food was good and we were able to get back to watch the sun set.

We wanted something casual inexpensive and laid back. This was the place. If is great after a tough day of sunbathing and shelling. I got the buffalo wings my wife got the grouper platter. Both were great. Wing we're hot with a good vinegar tang. The grouper was meaty and moist. Seeing size was generous and left really full. I... More

Great for lunch or dinner! Kids meals come served on a frisbee that they can keep. My son loved that! Chicken Caesar salad was really good and he loved the hot dogs. So much that we had to go more than once. :)

It is a nice clean place to eat. The staff is comical along with efficient. Was kind of crowded but didn't have to wait over 20 mins. Recommend

We met friends here and there was confusion because there is more than one on the island. The bar only sold wine and beer and not mixed drinks. The food menu was limited but pretty good. My husband had the hot wings (dead parrot wigs) and loved them. My selection was just ok.
