Found the Lazy Flamingo quite by accident and had a spectacular time. Sat outdoors in the restaurant across the street from the water in this T-short and shorts friendly environment. Cold draft beer made for a good pairing with our baby back ribs, chicken tender...sandwiches and Buffalo wings. Fish and shrimp also on the menu. The key lime pie for dessert was the real deal. The staff was very accommodating and polite. A real hidden gem!More

A very fun and neat restaurant with excellent food! I love the quirkiness about this whole restaurant and would definitely come back again!,

Our waitress Izzy was very helpful and attentive to our needs. I had a cheeseburger without the bun with sides of coleslaw and white rice. My husband had mussels and enjoyed them. We would return again.

Worst food ever. Clams were sandy; grouper was bad; oysters were not delicious! I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last food available. Service was amazing.

This location is by Blind Pass. On my first trip back to Sanibel after a few years, I ate twice at the Flamingo in late June 2022. I've been here before and I enjoyed it again. The fried grouper sandwich was especially good. Seemed very...fresh. The second visit was a steak sandwich and again quite good. This is the older, smaller original location. Order at the bar, pick up at the bar for those sitting in at a table. Beer and wine only. A nice casual pub feel. Especially convenient as I was staying at Castaways.More

Not a lot of indoor seating but has outdoor patio seating. Great fresh grouper - excellent taste. Something we didn't see at the other location.

Another great meal tonight at Lazy Flamingo! Together, we had the New England Clam Chowder, a must have appetizer when it's available. And here at the Flamingo, it does not disappoint! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her mesquite chicken sandwich. But my Dead Parrot Wings were...over the top. A dozen wings that bring the taste buds to divine attention! A MUST HAVE IF YOU LIKE IT HOT!More

Waitstaff was friendly. Our charter boat captain recommended we take our catch here - as they would prepare it for us to order and they did! It turned out great and was reasonabley priced.

We always make a point to visit Lazy Flamingo when we’ve visiting Sanibel-Captiva. We visited on our way off the island and had an issue with the quality of part of our order. The staff were friendly and attentive, which is positive. I ordered the...same beer I had during a visit last fall but it tasted slightly off. Our appetizers (a salad and fried mozzarella) were fantastic. Unfortunately, my husband’s entree was where the disappointment occurred. He ordered a fried grouper sandwich. He reported it tasted very fishy and as he had more of it, he noticed a bit of an ammonia-like flavor. We’ve discovered since that it was likely starting to spoil. My grilled grouper was fine. I’m hoping this was just a fluke and also that I can talk him into going back again during a future visit. We usually enjoy the Key Lime Pie but decided to skip dessert.More

The food was alright, but not fresh. The burger was defrosted and the shrimp over cooked. The atmosphere is fun and the prices reasonable, but it reminded me of a quirky Applebees.

This restaurant is described as "family friendly", but not for us. The inside seating is crowded and really loud; the seating outside is wooden benches and crates for tables, through which anyone entering the restaurant needs to kind of "wend their way". No gate or...rail over the steps, so watch the little ones. We never even ate here, but just turned around and left, so can't comment on the food.More

This place personifies the old, relaxed Sanibel. Reservations: forget about it!!! Show up and stand in line. Gracious seating: nope. Wooden benches. HOWEVER, there is a great bar and the food is great. You will not leave hungry.
