The staff was friendly and fun. Every item that I have ever had at Doc Fords is great. The Mahi Mahi is one of the best seafood dishes on Captiva and Sanibel. Great atmosphere! Fun!!

We returned again this year to Doc Ford's as our first dining out experience on Sanibel. Service was friendly, our waitress was outgoing, a little hyper (which we enjoyed) and quick to explain the specials available - both food and drink. We ordered the grouper, lobster roll and cedar planked salmon. All were prepared perfectly and nicely presented. The delicate... More

We ventured here with our two-year-old for a leisurely lunch. We got here early and only a few tables were taken. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful. We ordered Doc's beach bread (YUM!!) and the Lime Panko Crusted Fish Sandwiches. Our little one had Mac and cheese. All of the food was excellent and finally, a restaurant that doesn't... More

Stopped here for lunch during our Sanibel getaway and glad we did. Beach/nautical theme with tv's for sporting events. Our server was very professional and accommodating. We ordered a Cuban sandwich and the citrus shrimp special. Cuban was as good as any I've had in Tampa and the shrimp was very tasty I the special citrus marinade. Also ordered some... More

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Doc Ford's is the place to go after a long day at the beach! They have great seafood! Their shrimp is delicious and so are their fries. The Lime Panko Crusted Fish Sandwich is amazing, and the best fish sandwich you will find anywhere! Our waiter was very friendly and fast, and provided us... More
