I've been here a couple of times. I like this place more than the Timbers Restaurant, but you can order from their menu...best of both worlds.

We love sushi and California rolls and the Sanibel Grill didn’t disappoint! Very yummy! But please note that they only offer these yummy morsels Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They have very good drinks and specials during happy hour too. We had oysters on the half...shell that were very good. Absolutely going back again next year during our yearly trip to Sanibel.More
My sister and I are here twice for dinner. The pizzas are amazing. She got the veggie burger the second time and I got the chicken. Chicken was a bit over cooked but the spinach dip was amazing.
The restaurant has a family dining room, oyster bar and sports bar. The grouper bites and Manhattan clam chowder were excellent. The crunchy grouper basket and grouper Rueben were both delicious. Several party members ordered sushi and thought it was well prepared. Great bar with...wide selection of beers and island inspired cocktails.More
We spend 5 weeks on Sanibel and try to be careful about our spending so that we can continue to come here on our retirement budget. So, we look for places with early bird and happy hour food and drinks. First off, their food and...service are typically very good here. That being said, the online happy hour menu had listed burgers, wings and quesadillas for $8. (It’s since been removed) I was very surprised when the bill came and they were all $10 each. I know food prices have gone through the roof, but should have updated the website before raising prices. The second time we went we had our family of 8 with us and we had touted the good value here. Bill came and we were charged full price for everything, when I asked the server she said the happy hour pricing was only available upon request. What?!?! She did correct the bill but left a “we almost got scammed” feeling.More
The food was so good here that we went twice. The staff was excellent and the service was fast. We met the owner the second time
great food great sports bar very helpful staff to our family will come back again great sports bar in sanabel for your money value fore money.
With good reason, Sanibel and Captiva are not known for fine dining. So we aimed find a place where we could stick to the basics - fresh shrimp, local fish, fresh fish sandwiches, good drinks. Sanibel Grill was a great spot for exactly that. Try...it. In a refreshing twist of fate, we had a great waitress/server - Kendall. I TOLD YOU I WOULD POST HERE KENDALL! SHOW THIS TO YOUR FAMILY! She made our multiple visits - both drinks and dinner - that much more enjoyable. Good service is elusive these days. I'm telling ya - ask for Kendall. America is drowning in restaurant servers, many from chains and institutional operators, who are trained to make canned speeches to customers. They pronounce whatever entree you happen to ask a question about as their "absolute all-time favorite." Yeah sure. What a coincidence. You hear the "gastro-babble" from them and pause from making a selection to pray vigorously to God above that the server will soon leave your presence and return during the dinner only when absolutely necessary. Kendall was the polar opposite. Honest, easy going, no rushing you, funny (but not as funny as me). Gave some sensible advice on choices without an endless diatribe of hard to believe nonsense. She spoke to us like a normal person, not some desperate hack annoyed at having to work and aiming to regurgitate whatever words might possibly lead to the largest tip from people presumed to be dopey tourists vulnerable to economic exploitation. Not that we aren't dopey tourists mind you, but you get the point. Kendall has a good sense of humor. Kendall is an excellent employee. Food and drinks are good. Give this restaurant a try.More
Green Bay, Steelers, Patriots, you name it - people flock here for the NFL games. Great beer choices and outstanding food. We never miss our annual visit. Great bartenders, too.
Ate here twice during our stay. Had shrimp cocktail - 5 large shrimp. Had fried shrimp twice - delicious! Pub & bar - loved this place!
We have been here multiple times over the last few years. I had the special which was the Amberjack. It was the texture of a pork chop but was extremely moist and flavorful. We always come here on our last day of vacation. The grouper...reuben is really good and instead of getting the usual fries, get the sweet potato. It's a whole sweet potato, sliced and grilled. Very good! Our server has been there for 10 years and was very cheerful and remembered us from previous visits.More
Server, Carolyn, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable! Nice selection of beers and drinks. Pineapple Mule superior to the ginger beer mule. Local oysters were fresh and nicely presented with mignonette. Shrimp cocktail were large and fresh. Grilled chicken sandwich with mango sauce was excellent. Grouper was...superb, fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked with tasty black beans and rice ( not usually my favorite) side of spinach was excellent but tiny. We will return. Many televisions in the bar. Nice ambiance and not too noisy.More
We had wonderful seafood dinners at Sanibel Grill. Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, Tuna Burger and Mani dinner were all outstanding!
We have been coming here for 30 years and the changes are unmistakeable, and unfortunate. The bartenders we’ve known for years are long gone. The servers here are unhappy. The portions are considerably smaller than they’ve always been. The crunchy grouper was meager, and it’s...typically our favorite meal. This place is empty. No one sits at the bar, the atmosphere has completely changed. This place is on a downhill slide. So sad.More
Lots of good food to be had. Swordfish was delicious. Had a table overlooking the parking lot. Service was a little slow but most places are short staffed.
