Went back to the Bean after years of being away. The bagels were small and mundane, the prices were ridiculous and the service slow. Two normal medium coffees and one bagel no extras $10.18. They don't take Discover or Amex. I won't be back.

Best coffee on the island and extensive pastry's and bagels. There is casual seating and a nice front porch.

Yummy coffee and great pastries. Best scone and cinnamon roll I've ever had. Nice staff. Decent prices and a nice sized menu! Should of went back for lunch as it has great selections. Had good seating inside and cute outside gazebo area and can sit out on front porch area. Neat place.

It doesn't get any better sitting outside on the porch drinking a great cup of coffee. Sanibel Bean is that kind of place. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like you are at your own special place. Easy biking from anywhere on the island.

Every June, for the past 30+ years, my family has been visiting Sanibel. It wasn't until 2015 that we discovered Sanibel Bean! My hubby and I got married on the island and stayed an additional week so we had more time to relax and adventure. When we decided to stop in at the coffee shop (we are coffee-holics) one morning,... Coffee was very good but expensive. Wanted to take some home but it was $10 a HALF pound! We were the only ones in there. We sat outside after making our purchases and it was pleasant.

Over priced Coffee (Latte), not very pleasant staff did not encourage you to come again. On previous visits two years ago it was fine. Why the change ?

We've been biking it to this little stop every year and I have to say that this year it was disappointing. Bread/bagels were stale and they were not as friendly as in the past.

Everything I have ever eaten here was good and I have eaten most of it. My biking group meets here partly because we trailer in many of the bikes and they let us park here while we bike. Of course we carb load first and at finish as well. This place is a Sanibel tradition. Inside and outside eating space... More
