Been in area since November 1. Had dinner tonight at Colorado Prime Steak. Staff was excellent. PETE, PETER,answers to either, was friendly and fun. Then the prime rib was delivered. Best smoked prime since leaving Colorado. Meal was priced reasonable. I'll be in the area...until end of January. We'll be back. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.More

My husband have been coming to Sanford for over 20 years and always look forward to eating at Colorado’s the first night we arrive & have to get “our fix “ before we go back to Ohio. We have always had good service and the...food never disappoints. We really enjoy going there!More

Christopher was a great server. Very attentive, friendly and had great recommendations. The ribs are awesome. The steak sandwich was finger licking good.

My wife and I are always looking for something a little different for our “steak night” and decided to give Colorado’s Prime Steak in Sanford a try. It was not much to look at when driving up from the street, but as soon as you...walk through the door, you become immersed in your typical steakhouse experience. We picked an early afternoon weekday around 4:30, and as expected, only a few patrons were already seated. Our server was friendly, quick, and very helpful with our selections, including an appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes (see photo). They arrived quickly along with our drinks and were indeed a delight by being draped by onion strings and a favorable horsey-ranch sauce. The four well-cooked healthy-sized tomatoes were well prepared and a perfect start to the main course. We both followed the appetizer with a garden dinner salad and a Caesar salad. Both were sizeable for a starter and well prepared. I selected the 8 oz. Filet and my wife chose the Rib Eye Steak. Mine was slightly undercooked, but I was okay with that because my preference is better undercooked than overcooked. My steak was tender and moist but could have used some additional seasoning to add some more flavor since I’m not much for dousing good meat with any sauces. My personal preference is the Longhorn Steakhouse Prairie Dust seasoning that manages to add just the right amount of flavor without masking the background flavor of the meat. My wife was delighted with her Rib Eye that was perfectly cooked, exceptionally tender, and a great deal more meat than she expected. Our only disappointment the entire evening was the fresh rolls served with whipped butter. They were a little stiff and seemed like they could have been leftovers from the day before. Our overall experience was excellent, particularly when you factor in the value of the meal and the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere of the place. I am looking forward to trying it again real soon. This time, my target will be the Grilled Salmon or the Tender Baby Back Ribs. We hope your experience will be as delightful as ours.More

We were taking friends to the airport and stopped here for dinner. The marinated pork shops and the Marinated tenderloin kabobs were delicious . The rib eye was thin and over cooked. The rattlesnake bread, which is a knot roll, was hard and stale. Almost...like a left over from yesterday or put in microwave to long. Brandon was our waiter. He was also running the bar so a little late in refilling the water glasses. This was always our favorite restaurant but I think we will try something new. There was no one in the restaurant over the age of 25 and they were busy visiting with each other and people at the bar. We were there at 5:00 pm so it was not a full restaurant. Need a little team work with waiter’s and waitresses.More

Great food! Our family visited on a baseball trip. We were unsure how it would be. The food was outstanding with large amounts per serving. The staff were very attentive and helpful in making selections

Made a stop here for lunch on our way to the Sanford airport. Inside it was a throwback to the '80s as far as the decor. They definitely could do with an update. Overall the place was clean (old and worn but clean), the food...was hot and tasty. Nothing outstanding to write home about, but no major complaints either. A 10oz strip steak was $17.99. Endless soup and salad was $7.99. Sandwiches were $9.99-11.99.More

WE came here by chance on our way to Sanford airport to fly home to the UK. We were only looking to fill ourselves up before getting on the flight. But it turned to be probably the best meals of our holiday (We ate at...Disney and Universal Studios) We tried various things on the menu but I think my burger was the winner at our table. But the steaks and seafood will definitely be our list for when we return. The service was first class! especially Brandon Holt and Christian, You could tell they were passionate about the place! I couldn't recommend it more highly!!!More

One of the few restaurants that serve a steak on sandwich and not shaved steak. So much better meal with 3/8' thick steak. Good french fries. Did have a to wait a long time for meal
