Been here a few times over the years. Decided to give it another try after a mediocre experience last year. Unfortunately it got worse. We sat outside. SLOW service - Seems like the "waiter" was serving his time doing community service without supervision. 🤣 No...greeting, no introduction, NO personality. (There were only two other tables the whole time we were there too) Got overcharged $4 for REFILLS of voodoo drinks. Drinks were watered down, as they sat at the bar too long with ice melting. After 20min or more the bar tender finally brought out our refills as the "waiter" on staff was not only clueless, but MIA. (No spoon for soups ordered) Lobster bisque was luke-warm and soup portions have gotten a lot smaller. Ordered steak and Lobster (No steak knife). After 15min of receiving food, not from the "waiter" of course, he came by and I asked for one. ("They were supposed to put it on the plate" was the response. Seems like the "parolee" wasn't responsible for anything.) No salt/pepper/hot sauce caddie, had to go inside and get it myself. Presentation? $35 and $45 plates stuffed on an oblong metal serving "tray" with potatoes everywhere. The meals were both looking like a heap of food with each listing on top of each other.🧐 We had a restaurant.com voucher for 1/2 off in which seemed like a hassle for them to process. ("wait while I go and get the paperwork for this") He returned with a manager (from "sister site" Hammerheads) as they filled out this paperwork, like we were applying for a loan or something. Even though there was a voucher number, I had to sign a piece of paper attesting that I received this discount in which made you feel as if you won something for free. (other restaurants that use this just deduct the value using the voucher code, no hassle.) The "parolee" ended up being a manager too as he signed our paperwork as so.🤣🤣 Food and drinks were just OK, but, made it a lot worse by the waiting and miscues from the person who was just there physically from time to time. Bottom line is this was a really bad experience again and not even worth paying the "discounted" price from having this voucher. Even though a BAD experience, we tipped 15% (on the discounted price.) He is LUCKY I gave that. NOT DESERVED AT ALL. I would have tipped 20% on the full amount without the voucher as I do everywhere else we go that provides good service.More

The food was awesome. Had the blackened Lobster with steak, seasoned just right and very tasty, wife had the blackened lobster pasta was also very good. The shrimp appetizer, gator/sausage bites, lobster bisque and gumbo were also very good, no complaints on food. However, if...your not staying in the resort can be very difficult to find.More

Love. LOVE. love. After an absolutely horrible experience at a Destin seafood restaurant the previous night, we were reluctant to order crab legs again. But we were staying at the Sandestin and they had a table open. I can’t even begin to tell you how...amazing our meal was. It was perfectly prepared and the servings are massive. The service is top notch. Seriously. Please consider them. Yes. There are restaurants with higher ratings on the water, but you’re paying for location...not foodMore

A group of us tried this place for the 1st time. The waiter was fine but we had to wait for about 45 minutes for our lunch. When the food came out, some of the meals were overcooked and dry. The other dishes, tacos, and...shrimp were fine.More

This resturant is also known as "Poppy's Crazy Lobster". They have 7 lunch items for $12.99. They are heavy on the cajon dishes. It is hard to find because it is inside a shopping area and the only parking is outside of this area in...a free parking garage. The shopping area is also surrounded with condo's. It is well worth the parking hassles and the walk into the resturant. Their food is great and the servings are large.More

We are locals, so go to these places off season. We have been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both meals were great and service is very good. Nice people with great personalities that act as if they really care.

So glad we found this place because I really enjoy it. It's a fun place to go, but you have to go through a gate which, is no problem.... they give a paper pass to display. I deal from restaurant.com brought us in. You may...also find deals on Groupon. We had a superb waiter, I believe his name was Dallas and I asked him for a couple recommendations. I ordered the blackened Redfish with asparagus and other veggies, it was excellent. Be sure to order the coconut shrimp as an appetizer you won't be sorry. They have really good prices at their happy hour in the afternoons.More

The worst food I have ever eaten and the price for the quality of food was a ripoff. The seafood gumbo didn’t have any seafood. The replacement bowl had 2 small shrimp. The Taste of New Orleans was mostly rice. The taste was nowhere near...Cajun. The staff was nice but not good. The restaurant was pretty empty. Shame on me, I didn’t check the Yelp reviews which all basically said the same worst food ever.More

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon in December. Thankfully it was calm + quiet before the busy time started in January. The shrimp and the New Orleans Sampler were fresh and delicious. There is indoor as well as patio dining that looks...into the Bay. We enjoyed the small boardwalk that is in front on the restaurant and enjoyed a cocktail in this serene area.More
