My wife and I arrived at Hammerhead around 4:45 to catch the bargains during happy hour, which runs from 4 to 6 pm. We sat on the “rail” where we looked at the marina and had a great seat for the sunset. Oysters are $.50...each and 5 or 6 appetizers are half price. While I didn’t have a main dish my wife had the fried grouper basket which we shared. The only downside is they only have bottled beer but it’s reasonable priced. During happy hour you get $1 off beers and $2 off bar well liquor. All in all it’s a great value and very casual.More

The place is nice and great view. But when they say BOIL they mean it. The crab legs are boiled not a hint of flavor at all. It was not what I was expecting after a 1 hour and 30 minites wait it did not...help either. I would not eat there again. The other food was good.More

Great deck but partial covering so it can be sunny or crowded when rainy under cover. Food is good and when they’ve had entertainment it’s such a fun spot!

We were seated in less time than informed which was nice; however, after being seated we waited over 10 minutes before we saw our waitress. She took our drink order as well as our appetizer and entree order. Our drinks were brought promptly but then...it was about 25 minutes before our waitress returned (I couldn’t even get anyone’s attention to get my daughter a straw. My nephew had to go to the bar go get one). When she did return she brought us the wrong appetizer. A little bit later she did bring the correct appetizer and our food. Several people had been seated after us and already had their entrees. Our drinks were empty. And the waitress hasn’t noticed or cared. Some of the food was good. Some was below average. The atmosphere was good. Sitting by the marina was nice and cool. The live music was good. My check had a 20% gratuity added to it. I’m not sure if this is customary. Our service didn’t warrant that large of a tip. We had a party of five. I wouldn’t suggest eating here. It’s the only place we have eaten at while on vacation that we have been displeased with. And also they were out of oysters which was why we decided to eat here in the first place.More

I always prefer to eat outside. Hammerheads is outdoor seating, next to the dock, and live music. My daughter is Gluten Free. She ordered Tuna dip and asked for tortilla chips with it. Very good. I chose a salad but added fried popcorn shrimp. There...was a LOT of shrimp, :) Others with us got shrimp PoorBoys & raw oysters. Everyone was happy with the meal.More

My family and another went for an evening dinner and it was pretty good. Nice portions and an excellent server. I had the boiled shrimp and it wasn’t seasoned very well, but I like shrimp pretty spicy. My wife had the seafood tacos and she...said it was great. All in all a good place to eat with good views.More

We stopped in with the kids and had a great lunch. My fish was delicious and they actually had a crab leg option for the kids which they loved. Waitress was friendly and service overall excellent. Also nice views of the harbor.

Went here because it was rated fairly good on TA. I don’t get it. The view of the bay was nice but weird vibe and crowd. I think this is probably a good place for parents with young kids who are looking for a place...they can chill out have a drink and get some quick eats for the kids. Not a couple hang out kind of place in my opinion. We went at happy hour thinking it would be a fun crowd and was full of kids, which is fine but not at all what I expected. Drinks were fine. We did not order food.More

We came here the first night in Miramar and will NOT be back. The service was horrible - we first went to the bar to get a drink and an appetizer - got the fried pickles - no one else was at the bar but...us - and our order came out cold, the same as the service and personalities of everyone we encountered, Then we sat at a table with some friends and ordered the Black and Blue burger (no bun)- medium rare with extra crispy fries - the burger came out well done, the fries were cold and greasy - not crispy and we didn't get our forks until much later. Then I had to go use the restroom - the toilet in the ladies room was filled up by at least 6 other people before me (one man stall) - the toilet wouldn't flush and it stunk in there. I told the hostess - not sure of they ever did anything about it. All in all - we will not be back and suggest you don't bother either.More

Visited yesterday during happy hour. The service was good and the oysters were wonderful. The view was gorgeous. I enjoyed the guy singing.

I don't believe so. It's very much an outdoor restaurant
