We went here with some friends on a Saturday night. They have been there several times before and this was our first visit. When we pulled into the small parking lot I was not impressed with the outside. It looks run down and something I...would drive by and never give it a second thought. However once you walk in it is a different story. It is cozy, inviting and has an “old school Italian” feel to it. Our server had an extensive knowledge of the menu and explained how they prepare the steaks Chicago style (which has a char-seared top.) My husband and friends ordered a steak and I couldn’t decide between the sea bass or chicken parmesan I decided on the chicken parmesan. Big mistake! While everyone was enjoyed their steaks, my chicken fell short. The chicken was seasoned and breaded nicely; there wasn’t enough sauce on the chicken so it was dry. It comes with a side of pasta that had absolutely no sauce on it. Usually I can mix some of the sauce from the chicken with my pasta, not the case here as there wasn’t enough sauce for my chicken. Basically I had dry chicken and extremely dry pasta. I could not eat the pasta because it started to stick together and had no taste to it whatsoever. If I do come here again I’ll go with my first instinct and order the fish.More

Nondescript exterior, excellent service, outstanding food. Definitely not to be missed if you are in the area. Pricey but you definitely get your money’s worth!

Food was unbelievable! Cooked to perfection! Atmosphere was great too, it is a small but very impressive dinner spot. Little pricey but MORE than worth it! You won't be disappointed!

We went here for dinner early on a Saturday night. Our friends highly recommended it and it had been on our restaurants we wanted to try list for a long time. First, the restaurant is very small. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they've...got so many tables and people in there it feels very cramped, not that cool bar kind of cramped, that awkward I'm standing over someone's table kind of cramped. And it was only like 6 pm, so I'm guessing it may have only gotten worse later into the evening. Second, to our knowledge and experience, there was only ONE bathroom. ONE! At times there was a line 4 people deep to use it. And again you're standing over top of people's tables while waiting. Just not ideal or really acceptable for such a classy-intended upscale restaurant. Third, the food. Bottom line wasn't nearly as good as our expectations or other reviews made it seem it would be. Their menu options are good, traditional steak house ,and my fiance was excited and impressed they offered Filet done in the Pittsburgh black and bleu style. His filet turned out good for sure. My ribeye was just ok. The outside was great, the inside just meh. The salad blue cheese dressing was really good but the salads were definitely on the smaller side, but honestly about the size a side dinner salad should be. The pasta bolognese was the biggest disappointment. Impressed they used wide inside of spaghetti noodles, but the overall taste was just meh, and most other bolognese I've had elsewhere was significantly better. Fourth and fifth, the wine and service. On their menu, they advertised a very good popular and expensive wine in the 2019 vintage, and we were ecstatic as we've only seen this wine at really nice restaurants and it's one of our absolute favorites. When the waiter brought it to the table, tbh I saw the name but didn't double check the year, bc you really shouldn't have to when you're ordering what's directly from their wine list. When I tried a taste, it was a little bit off but I figured it just needed to air out a bit maybe. Halfway through the glass we were confused why it was not tasting like our favorite wine and finally realized that they served us, without telling us, the 2021 vintage. I realize I'm sounding kind of like a wine snob, but the bottle was $150, so you're really only going to pay that money for the exact wine you want. When we spoke to the waiter and asked very nicely about the different years, he gave us the biggest BS answer about how "a 2019 is really a 2021" (literally said that) and just blew it off. He was nice, but the whole situation was unprofessional from the kind of restaurant striving to be an upscale steakhouse. Also, we had to wait and eventually walk up to get his attention multiple times, probably he had too many tables I'm guessing/hoping. The bill for four of us for dinner came out to almost $700. For that much money, the ambiance, the food, and the accuracy of the menu and staff should be much better.More

We have been coming here over the years since they opened and tonight I was very disappointed. My husband ordered the ribeye which looked like a Denny’s breakfast steak. They charged $2.00 for blue cheese dressing on my salad, which I don’t recall this in...the past. It took an hour for our food and we didn’t have appetizers. When it came out, my filet was cold and so was the green beans that looked very poor quality. I’m very sad that they have gone downhill but I’m not dropping $200.00 on a low quality meal. Sorry but we won’t be back.More

First time in. Most aspects of the service were fantastic. Sat down immediately (had reservation). Greeted with friendliness. Noise level loud but not unbearable. Booth was tight and seating kind of cramped in the restaurant. Meatball and burrata apps were very tasty. Salad dressings homemade...and flavorful. Pasta carbonara was very good but portion for the price ($35) disappointing. 14 oz Ribeye ($55) was very thin for ribeye and slightly overcooked. Veal dishes ($39ish) were just okay. Had portions of my veal that were chewy, tough and hotter than the other portions of same piece. Sides of pasta on plates were very small (maybe 1/2 cup?) and not sauced. Tried all desserts (compliments of restaurant which was very generous of them) and they were all very tasty. In general, incredibly overpriced for the quality of the food received. Probably won’t be back for that reason.More

My husband and I visited 09.21.2023, a Thursday evening, for our 44th Anniversary with another couple. There was a handmade anniversary card on our table signed by the entire staff waiting for us. We enjoyed a drink and placed our order for the dinner for...2....salad,2 steaks of your choice, shrimp, green beans and cannoli for dessert. The atmosphere is very Italian down to the music played in the restaurant. We are from Chicago and the food here beats the pricier Chicago steakhouses back home hands down. Please make sure you make reservations so you are not disappointed as this Thursday night they had a packed house! We will definitely be back!More

This was our fourth time at Beau and Mo’s celebrating a birthday and we were extremely disappointed for the second time with the table arrangement. I realize that the restaurant is small and has limited seating but I would suggest that whoever assigns reservations gives...a forewarning that if you have a party larger than six there is a large possibility the party will be split up between two separate tables. I was there with my family last night celebrating a birthday, our reservation was set for 11 and we were extremely disappointed to see two completely separate tables when we were shown to our table…and I mean completely separated to the point that we were sitting back to back cutting off any sort of mingling that should be able to happen when going out to eat. When we saw this arrangement we immediately asked if it could somehow be put together and we were denied because “there was nothing else that they could do”. As someone who works in the hospitality industry I was baffled that a fine dining restaurant like Beau and Mo’s would try to pull a fast on a party that is spending large amounts of money for a dinner without explaining beforehand that there is a possibility you could be separated into two different tables. This is the second time that we have showed up for our reservation and the tables were separated, granted the first time it wasn’t as bad but this time around honestly ruined the experience for myself and my family. Food and service was same as always but this lack of customer communication put a bad taste in my mouth and it will likely be awhile before we go back.More

Great food. The apps are amazing! The server Nick was a gem! If you haven’t tried this place it’s a must. Order the skirt steak! It goes fast so as the night goes on it’s sometimes unavailable. Anything you order will be delicious regardless!

Finally made it to Beau and Mo’s. It was a fun fabulous meal with family. Make a reservation. Place was packed by 6. Cocktails were wonderful. Wine list seemed just fine and improving. Our server was Andrea. She was very patient and informative. Yes, many...of the steaks are Chicago style charred but the menu has lots of other options. Loved it and will be back.More

I like a good chat on my Chops and Steak...but it if you don’t let them know because they will come with one! Their scallop appetizer is always amazing! Dessert is extremely yummy! Save room!More

Let me start with I don't usually write reviews. I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. It was my birthday and we heard good things about this restaurant so we wanted to give it a try. Big mistake! Our bill with tip...was $268.00. I have had a much better dinner at Outback. We started with a crab cake. It was OK. A little pricey for the size at $24. For the entrée we ordered the steak for two. It comes with a shrimp appetizer. They give you three small shrimp. Its a dinner for 2. Why would you not get 4 shrimp, it does not make sense. It also comes with green beans and salads. the waiter offered three choices of dressings. We chose the house garlic and blue cheese. We were charged extra for both dressings. I understand blue cheese can be an upcharge, but the garlic dressing? It was $2.00. I have never been charged for dressing on a salad in my life. I was later informed the only dressing without a charge is the vinaigrette. The menu started you could order a side of pasta for $6.00. We both ordered pasta after discussing the choices with the waiter. We were not told there was an upcharge. When we received the bill my olive oil and garlic pasta was $8.00. The other pasta we ordered was with Bolognese sauce. It was $18.00, three times the price listed on the menu. Again, waiter never mentioned there was an upcharge. We asked for parmesan cheese as it was never offered. I guess we were expecting fresh cheese. We were handed a little glass shaker of cheese. It was cheese like kraft parmesan in the can. Now for the steaks. We chose filet and rib eye. The rib eye was a thin piece of meat that was mostly fat and grizzle. I literally had to spit it out. One of the worst steaks I have ever had. And as others have mentioned they give paper napkins. could it be any more tacky, esp when you are spending over $200? I would never return to this restaurant. When you are being up charged for everything including dressing on the salad and you are not told that is very bad business. Worst experience I have ever had.More
