The Red Mesa on 4th St., St Petersburg, is a regular stop for me when working here. I have tried almost everything on the menu. Since I am normally alone, I eat at the cozy bar. The staff is over the top, especially Therese, the regular bartender. She is so knowledgeable of the menu and knows I love the fish... More

My spouse and I were on vacation in St Petersburg and found this through tripadvisor reviews. No disappoint at all. Friendly professional service from beginning to end. There was no rush while we pondered the menu. Calamari appetizer was lightly battered allowing the full taste of the octopus to come thru. We were able to relax between courses.. Enjoy our... More

May not still have lines out the door on weekends, but when it comes to authentic and fresh tex mex and southwest cooking, nobody comes close. Wide range of prices. Generous portions, especially on the Tex mex. much better than its sister restaurant downtown the Red Mesa Cantina.

Really delicious food! I got the enchilada sampler, it was fantastic! A bit pricey, but I would say it's worth it once in a while. Their specialty drink is sangria due to the fact that they don't have a liquor license. They do however offer wine based Margaritas. Overall, I give it 2 thumbs way up.

The Red Mesa never fails to please. It is not easy to find Southwestern cuisine in Florida and these folks to it with flare.

Wonderful place to stop for food in downtown St. Pete. Great tacos for everyone and we recommend getting 2-3 tacos per person. If you like beans, then we also recommend getting the Refried Bean Dip. Good place for the whole family!

The food, Sangria, and service were all very good. Evidently they only serve red salsa with their chips and no queso blanco type dip for those that like it. Not a problem for me. The guacamole sampler appetizer was very good. Four different entree orders were shared and everyone liked everything. It tasted fresh and had great flavor. The back... More

I've eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Excellent patio in downtown St. Pete. All the dishes I have tried are well above average but two of my favorites are the Chicken taquitos as an app. and the Duck tacos for entrée. Wife loves their many different Cerviches.
