Food was very good, deserts were fabulous! Visited after receiving a recommendation from a friend. Would go back.

I went here expecting it to be awesome based on other reviews, but I was disappointed. The atmosphere was unfriendly and dreary. No one smiled and everyone seemed irritated to have to wait on us. There were only a few customers in the place, but...it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us. I was really bummed to find out they only server beer and wine, but I had a glass of wine, which was okay. We ordered a pizza and it was served barely warm with half raw crust. I asked if they could cook it longer and once it was actually cooked, I will say the taste was delicious and the crust very good, but make sure you tell them to cook it till it's crispy. I doubt we will go back as it did not feel welcoming and they don't serve drinks.More

We took a short walk from our hotel and found Old Northeast Tavern, and decided to stop in for dinner. Everything was delicious, the portions and prices are great, and the service was wonderful! Try the scallops!

So, I’m 67 and have lived and worked all over the world (25 years), have lived in 6 states and am a foodie. Recently, with 7 others near my age, I recommenced the “best Reuben I’ve ever had.” Now 4 others (with lots of restaurant...experience and years to eat Reubens) are singing the sane song. Everything on the menu is fresh and good .... great beer and wine choices! Try it and let me know!More

We somewhat stumbled into the Old Northeast Tavern on Super Bowl eve. What a find...great food and a cool, funky atmosphere. I had a roast beef/french dip sandwich and my wife had the Tavern Steak sandwich. Both were EXCELLENT. And as a bonus, twhen a...team score ( you declared a choice at the beginning) the staff would serve you a free beer when your team scored. we had a great time and great fro. Would not have guessed by just walking by. In the Historic Old Northeast section, right next to Black Crow coffee ( also a great morning spot.)More

My husband and I each had the smoked salmon sandwich for the first time. He had his as described on the menu served on a ciabatta bun. I chose the option to have it on a toasted wrap and also asked to have the shallot...dill sauce (that comes with the salmon appetizer) instead of the balsamic dressing that usually comes with it. After tasting my husband's, I prefer this sandwich with the dill dressing however my husband loved his with the balsamic; a matter of personal taste. Regardless, both were delicious and was more than enough for lunch along with the apple slaw that comes with it. It was also nice they have the salmon sandwich on the menu which you rarely find in other restaurants except maybe a New York deli type of place. As I said in a previous review, we prefer this restaurant over all the trendy ones downtown plus it is a lot more relaxing, less rushed atmosphere.More

Food is delicious. Definitely not wings and burgers. Amazing menu. Great drinks and lots of cold drafts. A fun bar area with obligatory TVs and a quieter dining area for family and friends and convenient! Walk here. Uber here. Definitely go here.

I recently decided to try out the Tavern for dinner, since I live in the neighborhood. It’s a cute location, convenient for us in the neighborhood but has a limited menu. The food was fresh but in a sense boring. Nothing that interesting offered but...great service and friendly atmosphere. I come back if I needed a quick meal again.More
