Doc Fords is one of our favorite places to go! The humidity was lower that day and we wanted to sit out by the water. There is seating along the outside rail that faces the water and is first come first serve. It's fun to watch the boats, dock and some dolphins swip by. There is live music outside and you can sit close to it or very far away and still hear it. Paul was our waiter and has been before. He is very attentive always does a great job keeping the drinks full. The Black Bean Dip is fantastic. Clam chowder is creamy and full of clams. Conch Chowder has great flavors and a bit of spice. Cuban sammie, Shrimp/grits, Orange Ginger Shrimp, Baby Back Ribs have all been great! Sanibel Cheesesteak is going to be next to try:)

My first time here and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and Heather W. was our server. She recommended the crab cakes (which were so delicious) and continuously checked on us throughout our dining experience. Will definitely come again.

We had a great time with Jamal! It was an extremely stormy evening. In fact, it was flooding on the drive home! But Jamal took our mind off the bad weather with his sparkling personality and sense of humor! The food was delicious and fresh. We had the sliced tuna appetizer and OMG. I’m literally going to have dreams about that appetizer. Two people at the table had paella and loved it! The kitchen was also very accommodating to my food allergies and Jamal made sure I didn’t get any dairy or gluten. Again, everything was fantastic and we’ll definitely bring more family for dinner when they visit!!!

We arrived at 12:30 for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon . We ordered our food which took one hour and 15 minutes to get to us . It trickled in with one of the five of us only receiving Cole slaw and one receiving nothing because her snapper taco was chicken taco and had to be redone . The manager came out and apologized and offered free desert or appetizers saying he was short staffed . The waiter appeared we asked for our checks which ten minutes later arrived full priced , when we sent him back for the half price the manager offered , another person thinking the assistant manager came out and said it’s all on us so sorry how this day went it’s not how we usually are . It took 2 1/2 hours to get out of there . The food was mediocre at best and the service was poor . I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn’t get a three hour lunch and likes dry food . Avoid I shall .

My wife I had a gift certificate for Doc Ford’s and we thought we would try the Jungle Terrace location on a Thursday night to watch the sunset. We arrived about half hour before sunset and were told it would be about an hour wait. Since we have been to Doc Ford’s at the the St. Pete pier several times and the original Doc Ford’s in Sanibel about 5 years ago, we decide to wait as we had such great experiences. We went the bar to wait for a table. Within 10 minutes of waiting, a table opened and my wife went to the hostess while I settled the bar bill.
When I arrived at our table, I found we had been seated right next to the rest rooms with frequent activity because of the size of the restaurant.
The noise level was very high and made conversation difficult. We had never experienced that at any other Doc Ford restaurant though we always sat outside. I highly recommend you always get a table outside.
Our server, Ashley C , was very nice made some good suggestions. I ordered clam chowder but our entrees were received first so I canceled the chowder. She apologized but offered no other response.I think it was delete from the bill but I could not tell because I did not receive an itemized bill when I used the gift certificate.
The food we did receive was well prepared.
But the ambiance was lacking and the prices for what we ordered were higher than expected based on the overall experience

I have to give kudos to the customer service at Jungle Terrace. Jennie, our waitress, was very attentive and accommodating. She explained dishes to me and when she asked how my dinner was, I told her that my salmon was cold but everything else was hot. She took it away and had them make me an entire new plate. Two managers came and talked to me, assured me it was being remade and they constantly checked on us. My husband left his glasses on the table and Jennie raced out to the parking lot to return them to us. Customer service like that is rare these days!

We love the Yucatan shrimp but tonight is was not very good because the broth seemed to have to much vinegar. We ate there on Friday and Monday and Friday was so much better. I guess the chef on Monday was new. Also, avoid the clam chowder - it's thick, mostly potatoes and looked like oatmeal. Otherwise, the drinks were great and the sunset was beautiful.

A wonderful experience with good wine in a beautiful place with excellent food at an acceptable price.
The menu is very extensive and offers mainly fish lovers pleasures, but also the carnal cravings are satisfied.
Coctails, wines, beers and dbenso a whole lot of alcoholics complete the beverage spectrum.
The service was extremely friendly, the food was served at sufficient intervals and was of outstanding taste.
The location is very nice with a very nice view of the water.
Long story short, this restaurant is a must!

My friend and I chose this place to celebrate my birthday. This was my 1st time here. When we arrived we were told there would be a 25 min wait, yet we were seated within 5 minutes or less in the area we had requested. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and spinach and artichoke flatbread as apps. So yummy. I ordered the chimichurri grouper tacos and she chose the pulled pork sandwich. Our server's name was Heather. DF's didn't have the beer I wanted so she suggested a comparable one and gave me a sample. Delicious. She was extremely attentive, had a great sense of humor, made great food suggestions, and at the end offered key lime pie and a brownie as dessert to go. My friend and I both felt that there was nothing that could have been better. It was a perfect bday celebration. and Heather didn't even know it was a birthday celebration until she suggested dessert. Thank you for such an amazing experience. We will definitely come back and bring our other friends.

We always love going to the Doc Ford's restaurants and now frequently go to this location as it is the closest to us. We were here for New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. We both had the Macadamia Nut Crusted Grouper and loved the meal. Heather W., our server, was attentive, pleasant and based on her recommendation, we had the wonderful Banana Bread Pudding. Thank you making our holiday dinner a truly great experience. We came back a couple of days later for lunch, which was also excellent.

Great spot with excellent seafood. Portions for the price were fantastic. I love to cook and got some ideas from the meal. Seared tuna was done perfectly. Heather our server took the time ask about the timing of the meal. Each dish came on time so we weren't eating 3 dishes at once (hate that!) The meal & the experience flowed seamless and that is part of the art of bring a servers. Kudos!! We shall return.

The Redington Beach Garden Club members met for an informal lunch. Our server, Terence, was amazing! He managed our group with friendly efficient service. Pleasing 20 women is amazing. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Thanks, Doc Ford's.

LOBSTER ROLL!!!!
My wife is a "Lobster Snob" & loved the choice at this location. We ate on the deck - service was excellent, when they heard of Anniversary, we were treated with free slice of Key Lime Pie. That is NOT the reason for such a great review.

Mixed review. Very loud inside. need to add some type or noise muffling items. almost left just because of this. outside eating area was not loud. Steak salad was wilted and steak was raw. asked to fix only took steak and appeared to barely even cook more. brown avocados in salad. Lobster roll taste like fake lobster. waited an hour for food. service was very good. atmosphere besides noise is nice. Should do something about the great aquarium they have. barely any fish or livestock in it. Put your leftovers in unappealing chinese soup containers. Some minor fixes should be done before i ever go back.

First and foremost the waitress was very good and atmosphere was awesome, the evening sky was beautiful, but what I was hoping for was the Supposedly the original fish sandwitch to at least be decent but what i got was a very small cold fish sandwitch, which had no taste, and very few fries., i would almost rather have had a fish sandwich from Mc Donalds. Might be Exaggerating. But its close. My wife had a salad which was quite small for 16.00, however the bean dipw was good and filling, so she was good.
Sorry, had to write this but maybe some constructive criticism may help
