my husband loves ice cream! That is how we got to Larry’s, but not the reason we kept going back. Yes the ice cream is fantastic, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. A fresh mini donut when you walk in the door unexpected but, I discovered that they make one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had! After our third visit in a week the young lady that had waited on us offered us a discount card to be used on return visits. She recognized us and made us feel even more welcome when we brought our little 11 pound dog in with us she was greeted and invited to stay. How special is that. If you have the opportunity to be in Saint Pete Beach, treat yourself to a visit to Larry’s you won’t be disappointed.

Great ice cream, and tons of flavors but the donuts are terrible. I got the donut Sundae, with butterscotch bomb ice cream that was incredible. But that donut was so hard and dry but I ended up throwing it away and just ate my tiny scoop of ice cream that I paid like seven dollars for. All of their pricing was pretty high for small portions.
My companions enjoyed their ice cream as well. And Chip was a great and helpful employee.

The selection of different flavours here is the biggest I've ever seen!
The people serving were more than happy for us to try different flavours and inform us what was in some of them.
I got the espresso chip ice cream which was really good. Strong flavour and lots of thin chips of chocolate.
My wife enjoyed get midnight double chocolate with fudge too.
Strangely the toilets here were the nicest cleanest toilets I've seen for a long time (in any restaurant or shop). Not what I was expecting but happily surprised!
Plenty of lovely seating outside.
Highly recommend!

Very DISAPPOINTING experience. We were charged almost $31 for (2) sundaes @ $6.99 each and (1) scoop in a cup $3.49. Our total should have been $17.47 and even if charged tax should not have been over $20.
When we asked for a receipt the guy who served us got an attitude about it and told us we have to realize the prices advertised on the wall are 30 years old and there's an increased cost now because of the current cost of dairy. I completely understand, but if that is the case, why was my sister (the very next customer for this same guy) charged the prices advertised on the wall and not a higher price like I was?
Then he spent the next few minutes on the phone and was back and forth before coming over and explaining to us what was going on. He said he was not trying to cheat us or anything and could not go back in the register more than 4 receipts and we were number 5. If we wanted to do anything we could come back tomorrow and talk to the owner.
He tried to be a fast talker about what we were charged for and how it works, but was making absolutely no sense in what he was saying.
He also told us not to come back anymore and was very rude about it. All for asking for a receipt to verify what we were charged for.
I asked him for his name as we were leaving and he rudely said Kevin or Chris and that he was the owner.
When we left I called the phone number and asked to speak to the owner, I was turned over to someone else to talk to which turned out to be the same rude guy to which he repeated about calling back tomorrow and hung up on me.

I was a little disappointed with this place. I think I just had higher expectations because there was a massive line out the door to get inside on a random Thursday evening after dinner, so I figured it must be awesome. I ordered the cherries & cream and thought it was just ok, nothing amazing. I tried my kids flavors too & kinda thought the same thing.
There was a nice, cute little area to eat the ice cream outside with tables & lights around palm trees. I will say, The person (younger female) who took our order wasn’t the friendliest. I felt like we annoyed her just by placing our orders, but it’s whatever..

We drove by Larry’s on the way to dinner and decided we MUST save room for dessert. And so glad we did! The cappuccino chip hot fudge sundae was gggrrreeeaaattt, as was the strawberry cheesecake, the fudge brownie and the cookie dough ice creams❣️❣️❣️😋😋😋 And don’t even get me started on the gourmet mini donuts. I could become morbidly obese if I lived in St. Pete Beach. The birthday cake, espresso chocolate, cookie dough, strawberry cheesecake, Samoa, and fudge brownie donuts were to die for. Can’t wait to come back and try a donut sundae!!!

We were disappointed in the ice cream at this well reviewed local ice cream parlor. We wish the ice cream had been as good as the decor was cute! The ice cream was sticky and the plastic spoon provided almost snapped in half when trying to scoop up a bite! The flavors were not memorable. Would not recommend.

We were staying down the street at the Tradewinds and heard about this place and decided to take a late night walk down there for gelato. When we arrived there was a long line out the door, but the wait wasn't too bad, plus it was a gorgeous night.
When we got inside it got very overwhelming. We were first timers, so were kind of in shock and awe at how many different flavors and options there were and we were pressured to decide quickly by the very long line behind us. That isn't really anyone's fault, I just wish we'd come when it was less crowded so we could've taken our time deciding!
The staff were really friendly. Our gelato was good (not Italy good, but better than most I've had stateside) and we were glad there were plenty of tables outside to sit and eat at. Overall, we're glad we came!

I had gone before and got ice cream, it was good but I wanted to go back and try the food. The prices are not listed beside the food items on the menu and I can see why. A chicken sandwich (which is simply a circle patty like from a school cafeteria), a burger, and 2 cokes plus tip was nearly $40 and this is no fries, only small bags of lays chips, you do not have a choice of chips. The worst part however, was the girl who waited on us. She was not friendly at all! When I asked is the chicken salad good-“I don’t know” was her reply. I would not recommend for lunch. The ice cream is fine but there are other places right down the street that I’m sure have better service.

The ice cream and house made cones get 5 stars but have to take one off for how long it takes to get in and place your order. A line is one thing. I understand. The employees were friendly. No issues there. The problem is that every person in line goes through one employee at the register creating a huge bottleneck. Loved my ice cream, loved the cone it was in, but for a place that’s been around since the 80s, they could be a lot more efficient. Maybe we caught them on an off night.

When I arrived, I asked if the "gelato" was a real Italian gelato, and an Irish guy confirmed it. Nonetheless, the ice cream had nothing of a gelato, probably just the name written outside the shop.
The gelato (figure of speech) was so awful, watery, and with poor presentation that I didn't want it, so I paid a 2 flavor one for the lady with me. I tried it (as she insisted) and not even she (unaware of the metier) could eat it all.
It was not a disappointment (most ice cream producers and sellers call themselves gelateria even if they use industrial processes), but it was, indeed, a fake product.

This place was great for a nice cold treat after walking in the sun. They have so many flavors of ice cream, it was hard to choose. Also loved the different types of waffle cones. I was basic and went with the chocolate dipped, but my son always got the one dipped in fruity pebbles. Just be ready for a wait. The line runs from inside the store to the outside, and at times, almost to the road.

It was our first time going to Larry's and we were not disappointed. I had the Red Velvet shake and my boyfriend had toasted almond and coconut ice cream that was to-die-for! The prices were decent and serving sizes were large. They also will give you samples of any flavor you want to try. A great place!

How to choose! So many great desserts to choose from. We decided on a chocolate cake slice with ice cream and ahocolate syrup on it and crepes. Wow we should have split. We have been eating crepes for years in Paris, Belgium, Spain and in the US and have never had it with ice cream in the center. So so good. Had banana strawberry and Nutella. I want to go back today

My family loved this gelato. We got tiramisu, cappuccino, and pistachio gelato and one moose tracks ice cream. Waffle cones and sugar cones are also great. They also have other tasty looking treats. Can't wait to go back.
